I am not speaking of a certain Hearse individually, but of the collection of vehicles used during the film.
My personal fav is with P3. I love the mass amount of Funeral Coaches used. It really makes me happy to see that many at one time.

I dunno this is a hard one I'm partial to the one from P1 but chose the P2 hearse because I just thought it was very cool and loved how Angus at the beginning steps out of it and slowly walks around it.

Well, being the hearse coordinator on P3 & P4, I'd have to say I love the 1968 Cadillac used in P3 as the pink hearse, then we painted it black for P4. I loved that scene too in P3 with all the many hearses. Our hearse club at that time, LA Hearse Society even got a credit in the film! That was shot up in Valencia, CA all night long. And I owned the 1969 Cadillac P2 hearse for about 8 yrs after the film came out. I remember riding with Reggie sitting in the front seat one evening going out to dinner with him and freaking out some girls out on the road who recognized him!

What did you end up doing with the P2 hearse? Guy and I bopped around in it for awhile (great fun), taking Reggie, Angus, etc. for rides too. Guy had this beauty for years, but finally sold it to a friend in a hearse club. The fellow had it for only a few weeks, then got into an accident on an LA Freeway (the 101 I think). The hearse was totalled. I was so sad to learn this news. Always had a fondness for the vehicle as I researched and found it while working on P2, and helped Don acquire it for the production. It was a great day when Guy become the next owner.

Your right, the 68 cad was used in all those films. Don really got his money's worth out of that hearse! As far as I know, it's still sitting in his backyard driveway! Needs a LOT of work though to get it up and running. Also, it had the back door window busted while in storage and before Bubba was shot I helped Don replace it with a sheet of plexiglass. In Bubba, you can catch it shake as one of the attendants is slamming it closed!

Kristen would remember what Don paid for the P2 hearse. I know I only paid Don the unbelievable price of $250.00 for it! And it ran pretty good for 8 yrs until the front axle broke. That's when I sold to the man who was in an accident with it ending it's career for good. I think Don paid $1,200.00 for each of the 2 hearses for P3. He had to buy 2 so one could be totaled in the hearse flip from P3 and still have a "hero hearse" so to speak.

Those aren't bad prices at all for a Hearse. Might be something I look into. ;D

Hey, Guy. I remember giving Mr. Abbott the check. I think it was $1,500. Definitely it was more than $1,000. It's been a long time (October 1987)... But figure sounds about right with what Don paid for P3/P4 hearse.
