Saw it at a now non-existent RKO theater in NYC back in '79. Thereafter CBS would show it from time to time during the early to mid-80s on Friday late nights. Loved this movie from the first viewing

Got interested and saw like 10 minutes on the internet. Then bought the DVD in July 2007 at Blockbuster.

It was the mid 80's, though I couldn't name the exact year. I would have been about 13. Saw it on cable at home. Movie made a huge impression on me (obviously). It was just different, imaginative, spooky, cool. I really envy the folks who are a few years older, who got to see it at the drive in or in a walk-in. Every time it played on late night TV I was sure to watch it.

Had to have been around 7 or 8 so 1984 or 85, my grandparents owned a video disc player and Phantasm was one of the movies they owned. I have been a phan ever since.
