Who here would put their money where their mouth is and pay $500 - $1000 to Don if it meant it would help the film get made?

I wouldn't but that's mainly because money is tight with me at the moment & there are more important things to spend it on than Phantasm V...as much as I'd love to see it get made.
If I was well-off & could spare the cash, I definitely would help out.

$500-$1000? No way, I'm too poor to cough up that of money, especially as it's only going to make a tiny difference in the film which still may not be made. However, if I was an entrepeneur with millions in the bank, I'm give Don a couple million in a heartbeat. That's probably why I'm not a millionaire.

Surely someone on this forum has to be a millionaire. Why not put 500k into the project?

Arrive to us, Don. We shall accumulate the money and shall shoot the film. Here all inexpensively.

Summer here as in California:-) Yes, but I'd love to see a Phantasm film set in the snow. We've seen the Tall Man destroying towns in the deserts of America, but there are plenty of bodies to harvest in Europe and Asia too. It would be cool idea to see Reggie follow the Tall Man across the wintery Urals

Did you know the ending of Phantasm 3 was going to have Mike and Reggie taking the frozen Tall Man to the Arctic and burying him in the ice when he would stay frozen forever. The last line of the film was going to be Reggie saying: "Now all we have to worry about is global warming!" ;D
Apparently they changed it because they tried to film the scene in the California desert and make the sand look like snow, bit it didn't turn out well and looked stupid so they re-shot the ending with the sphere bursting out of the Tall Man's head.
I wonder if they'll ever include the deleted ending in a Phantasm 3 DVD.

Don and Angus talk about it on the commentary for the Anchor Bay UK Phantasm 3 DVD. I think it also gets a mention in the Phantasm documentary in that set.

Maybe Don is above it or something but I think it would actually be a great idea to set up a donation option on phantasm.com
I would absolutely donate some cash to the Phantasm V fund and I know I'm not the only phan who would.

OLD THREAD RESURRECTION!
To collect the necessary budget many phans are necessary. The budget of 15-20 million dollars is known planned.

Let's see how Kevin Smith's Red State Tour works out. Could become a viable option for someone like Don who has a rabid fan base...
