Hey all, Got my copy from Kristen on Sat! Fantastic job Dustin! Loved the photos and Sean's article as well! Hope it sells well for Horrorhound.

The then and now section was very neat. It craked me up when the author explained what he had to do in order to get the pictures of the casket room.

I'll never forget years ago before they had remodeled the casket room at Sunnyside, Kristen & I posed as pre-need clients to gain access to the room! I'm glad we got to see it before it changed.

That was fun! Guy and I posed as a coupled looking into a preneed contract. I think the staff was onto us from the start, but they played along and gave us the full tour. The showroom was virtually identical to that in P1. The Batesville Autumn Oak that Mike hides in was still there (though, I'm sure, a different unit), in the very same spot. It was... eerie.

I was just having a browse through DeviantArt and came across the artist who did the cover for the horrorhuond mag. If anyone is interested, here is the link malevolentnate.deviantart.com/there's also a load of good tall man art on there as well. One of my favourites is a simple one of Luigi from Mario Bros. as the tall man ;D

That art is fantastic, isn't it? I got a pencil sketch glimpse of it back in February or March and was just blown away. Couldn't have asked for better original art to go with the retrospective.
They came very close to including the artwork as a pull-out poster inside but technical issues prevented it from happening. Would have been AWESOME.

As a footnote to this thread, the Phantasm issue of HorrorHound sold out a while back. Not bad for our little cult movie series! That definitely does not happen to all of their retrospectives and they've never gone back to reprint 'em either.
So if you haven't checked this out, finding it on eBay or at a convention would be your best bet.

This was the first issue of HorrorHound I ever saw/bought. I was in a Borders walking past the magazine rack and the Tall Man imagery caught my eye. For some weird reason I didn't buy it right away but then later at home I was like, "I need to buy that mag, it was meant for me find!" This was an absolutely awesome article, perfect for any phan both regular and hardcore. The rest of the magazine appealed to me in many ways, loved the Magnum Entertainment article, I recognized so many of those cheesy but cool VHS covers! Also the Drive-In movie theater article was well written and witty. I need to get a subscription and catch up on all the ones I missed.

Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it very difficult to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any tips or suggestions?
