Remember that imbecile kid reviewer from a few months back that completely reamed Phantasm in his YouTube review? Well - here's something to balance him out. Another lad has reviewed the film.
This little guy is named Cody. And for such a young fellow, Cody is wise beyond his years. I dare you to watch him review... PHANTASM!!!!!
(the first three seconds of this video may induce a heart attack if you're sitting too close to the screen. you've been warned.)

This is great. The Phantasm Fan Club is getting younger and younger…I should send this link in an email to a few people and say “make sure to turn up the volume”.

If I had a son, I hope that would be him! What a pleasant contrast to the brain dead kid who reviewed it before! It's funny, I have a nephew named Cody who grew up with my love for Phantasm who's now 35 and still loves it along with other horror films.

Very wise young BOOYYYY! It's comforting to know that a younger generation will indeed carry on the passion us phans have.

Nice to see the movie left such a positive impression on one so young. I think, boobs aside, kids can quite easily identify with Phantasm - at its heart it's a movie about the emotional trials and tribulations of a tough childhood and coming-of-age. Not only that, but it taps in perfectly to the whole imaginative "fear of the unknown" kids have, they're always thinking "What is that is the closet? What's hiding under my bed?" and frightening themselves with wild imaginings (at least I did, when I was a kid). Phantasm takes the whole "was that the footstep of a monster on the stairs or just my crazy imagination" to its logical extreme.
On the negative side - and not to be offensive to this guy specifically, because he seems like a nice kid and otherwise smart - but is anyone else out there a little bit sick of kids doing video "reviews" on YouTube that don't actually contain any actual reviewing?
Although it was better than most, this review also fell into most of these traps: "Yeah, it was great... um... a great movie... I liked the guy... um... uh... I don't really have anything more to say... you just have to see it..." When I was in school we used to do show-and-tell type presentations in the classroom, and even my most shy and introverted of classmates would come up with something more structured and insightful than most of these so-called "reviews" kids do now. "I don't have much to say" - Jeez Louise! If you don't have anything to say on the subject, why even post a review!??

It is great to see that Phantasm is still being enjoyed first time around and has stood the test of time. Can I be a bit boring though and just say Phantasm, Alien. Where are this boy's parents? Maybe it's a touch of jealousy creeping in as it was so difficult to see these types of films in the UK when I was growing up, but should he really be able to readily get his hands on these movies? I'm sorry to be dull... but can someone think of the children?

Short and to the point.
That kid definitely got it.
He almost seemed spellbound describing it.
He should be able to handle Alien. There's a cat in it. And it survives. And it doesn't seemed bothered a bit by Harry Dean Stanton's demise. ;D

You guys definitely should! The more reviews, the better. If someone wanted to review all 4 films and release the reviews one at a time, that would be awesome!
