Ok we have covered where the original Cuda went and it's pretty much a foregone conclusion it's lost.
Any ideas where Reggie's Ice Cream truck is or went to?

I kinda always thought that he just left it at the side of the road after it crashed with the dwarf in coz it was a piece of crap and just used Jody's cuda to get around in after that

Where is it today. I figured in the movie he had no need for it anymore and left it.

Let us know what you find out! I'm almost sure the Cuda is lost to us forever but maybe we can track down that truck.

You don't see Ice Cream trucks like that with the open cab anymore. The Cuda I can understand being in someones garage, ice cream truck either in someones ice cream truck collection or rusted away somewhere.

Clint Howard stole it & used it as his ice cream truck in Ice Cream Man.

Is there any way to get a make and model on that Ice Cream truck? I'm sure we could find one on ebay.

The more I think about it, Phantasm was made on a shoe string budget, maybe the ice cream truck was borrowed from the ice cream shop or a local vendor. It could also be posssible that is was an out of service truck in the first place loaned to Don's production.

I think it's interesting that the Phantasm II script called for the ice cream truck to be sitting in the Regman's drive-way when the Tall Man pulls up to his house at the beginning of the film. Steam from the ice was to be bellowing from the back cooler.
Would've been cool, no? Also would've ben expensive to get an ice cream truck for just one single shot.

I just remembered at the Q&A this past weekend, Reggie said he would drive the ice cream truck home on Phantasm. He and Angus even broke down in it one time. Pretty funny sight, those two broke down on the side of the road.

Those old ice cream trucks really make me happy inside for some reason. I wish they were still around.
