It would be interesting if the red planet was Mars or Barsoom. It would serve as a nice John Carter homage. Of course, based on Phantasm IV, Jebediah Morningside travelled to whatever red planet he went to well before John Carter made it to Barsoom (Carter served in the Civil War and did not travelt o Barsoom until after the conflict; Phantasm IV indicatest that the Tall Man experimented on wounded soldiers pace Herbert West and Anton Arcance during the Civil War). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barsoomen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieutenant_Gullivar_Jones:_His_Vacation

I always enjoyed Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter books. Nothing I remember from the series seems related to Phantasm but who knows Barsoom had lots of unexplored regions and was always well populated with mad scientists and the like.

That would be cool . I never thought of that. The Red Planet is realy the earth in the future......One thing tho, I havent really seen Phantasm in well over 20 years but dosnt Mike say something about The Tall Man sending the Dwarves back to "his' planet? After crushing them down.
