Caught this at my local Wal-Mart yesterday. Universal has apparently released Phantasm II as part of a new horror boxset. I'm not sure what it retails for, but Wal-Mart had it for an incredibly cheap $5. That's four movies for five bones! Cover image below. I must confess, the Looney Tunes artwork has grown on me, though I'm still expecting Angus to go "That's all folks!"

Wow…what a deal. I’m going to check it out when I go on my annual shopping spree @ Wal-Mart. If I see it, I’ll buy a bunch to give out @ Christmas.

Can't say I've seen "The Funhouse" or "Sssssss"... are those any good? In any event, that's a great deal right there.
Although maybe it's just me... but I hate when packs like these come out, and one of the films is a random sequel.

I was just a kid when I saw Ssssssss at a Drive-in with my family. It was really unnerving to watch. Dirk Benedict (before he became famous as "Starbuck" on "Battlestar Galactica") was the guy that gets turned (I think tragically) into a Cobra. Not a great horror film, but disturbing. I remember my mom telling Dad it was no movie for kids to see. This must have been a few years before "Phantasm" came out.

It's probably worth a watch. I haven't seen it with adult eyes yet--as a kid it was pretty eye opening. lollol

Haven't seen Sssssss but I'm a fan of the other three(especially Phantasm II). $5 for that set is a heck of a bargain. Definitely worth it. Doubt I'll get the set but for anyone that wants Phantasm II(and those other flicks) for $5 needs to jump on this, yo!

Nice, but the only movies on this set that interest me are "serpent and the rainbow" and "P2". I won't be buying it since I already have P2 on its own. as for Ssssssss. that movie sounds alot like one of those old "Cursed" movies. the one where a guy gets bitten by a radioactive snake and he starts to mutate into one or at least his body parts started to turn into snakes. he even started spitting them out.
