it was either 80 or 81 on broadcast tv. i remember sitting on the floor watching tv and the movie came on and i was spellbound by the music score and weird/creepy feel to it. i would have been around 11 years old at the time. was born in 69. I too was born in 69 so i'm not the only phan who grew up inthe great 80's I'm a scorpio # 3 here. Also born in 69. I saw it for the first time on TV around 82/83.

I saw Phantasm II and III back to back on the Sci-Fi channel when I was about 7 or 8, I remember it well because they showed those 2 films back to back for some reason, and I just remember being scared but at the same time I couldnt turn the tv off because the bizzareness of the films just drew me in and kept me glued to the tv screen, And soon after that I watched Phantasm II again on MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs and that was really what hooked me, Nothing I have seen since or after has matched the true bizzareness these films hold and thats why I love them.

WAHAHAHA.......I have said this before but, I have seen it many times at both in door and Drive-In and I have to say, to me the Drive-In is THE best. Something about being out in the wide open late night air? Being able to sit in my 'Cuda and watch the hott chicks walk around sipping on an adult beverage, lookin fly and rollin fat was nice too.....its a 70s thing....ya had to be there...

Saw it pretty young - seems like forever in the past, probably because it was.

I remember first seeing part II when I bought the used VHS at an old video store. It wasn't until this year I bought part III since I was interested in seeing what happened. After that I bought part IV and then the original! The first one is by far the best!

I was living in the Netherlands with my parents at the time and it was on late at night on a German Channel. So it was in 1991 I saw that one (auf Deutsch). So weird to see Der Grosse Mann saying, "MEIN JUNGE!" instead of "Boyyyyy!" I remember begging--literally begging all in German--a video store in Frankfurt to sell me their only copy of "Phantasm" (Das Bose--missing umlauts). They did too! Yup, I'm an uberfan.
