I was watching the HBO movie "Something the Lord Made" with Mos Def on youtube and...there in the opening sequence was what appeared to be the perigord mortuary house. Only a small portion of the house appears on the left hand side of the screen but it definately looks like the mortuary house (same italianate style and tall column shape trees on the side). Anyone else seen it?
I know this is pretty minor, but just thought it was interesting.

Interesting! Will have to see about grabbing a screenshot from that show for comparison.
Can you post the YouTube link on here by chance, algormortis1?

Sorry about that, I'll try it again. I have never linked a video to a forum before.

I managed to get a shot of the opening sequence. I know there is not much to see but does this look like the house to anyone else? Attachments:

Very sharp eyes there! Yes, indeed, that is Heritage Park, with its lineup of gingerbread houses! And that is, indeed, Perigord Mortuary! They had to frame that shot verrrrrry carefully to "hide" the other houses for those P2 shots. lollol The house is rather "tiny" in real life.

Is the Perigord Mortuary one of these buildings? If so, which one? www.heritageparksd.com/I would love to know other locations that were used during the filming of Phantasm II. The only other location I can find on filming locations for PII is "Southern California" which is uhhh pretty broad.

Yes, Heritage Park (Heritage Square Museum) is the place we filmed the exterior shots for Perigord. The Perry Mansion. I've been back a few times since, but not for a decade or so. It's near Pasadena, off the 110 Fwy, not in San Diego. heritagesquare.org/about

Do you remember which cemeteries you filmed at or any other notable locations?

Cemeteries: Sunnyside Cemetery on Willow Street in Long Beach: www.panoramio.com/photo/46801407Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles (the Chapel interior was used for Grandpa's funeral)--haven't been there since P2's production so I'm not 100% on this, but Evergreen sticks in my mind. www.evergreen-losangeles.com/The Bed & Breakfast was a private residence in Echo Park. The hardware store near Pasadena I don't believe exists anymore. Mostly everything else was filmed at our Chatsworth warehouse.
