I'm very glad that a book will soon be published. In the 90s I dreamed look the book about the creation of Phantasm series.

We are awfully close with this!! So a few items of business... The Phantasm Exhumed website has received a bit of a makeover. There is now a photo gallery (this will be expanded) that offers new glimpses into the films (along with a couple Kenny & Co. shots). I'm also planning to release excerpts from each chapter of the book on the website within the next couple of days. Lastly, it came to my attention over the weekend that HorrorHound Magazine listed Phantasm Exhumed as a "Bitchin' New Book" in their March issue. Always fun to get a mention in this mag. They do print an error, however, by saying that Exhumed will only be available in the UK. Not true. They were probably mistaken after reading somewhere that my cover artist hails from the UK.

Any specifics yet available on sources for the book, price, definitive release date, etc? Some of the more recent posts seem to sound like the book is still being laid out in proofs and whatnot, rather than being ready for release. Is it still going to make a March release, or are we going to have to wait a bit longer?

Is it still going to make a March release, or are we going to have to wait a bit longer? I'm finishing the page layout this week. I've really been busting my tail to get it finalized, but things keep popping up that I'm trying desperately to make room for. For example, on Phantasm II Reggie and James LeGros kept a photo of the Tall Man on their dartboard to help get in character. That original photo, ridden with dart holes, turned up recently. Definitely making space for that as I type this. The price will be right at $20 and the definitive release date is not yet set. It will either be the very end of March or the very first week of April. I thank everyone for their patience. Hope the book will have enough cool surprises to make up for the loooong wait!

Thanks for the update! I'll be grabbing a copy from wherever it is available, posthaste! It's great that you've turned your passion for the series into something that looks like it can stand next to similar works that are out there on other series, such as Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Hellraiser. Having a piece like this on a lesser known series like Phantasm is remarkable, and I look forward to it. For a couple of years now I've had notions of writing/compiling something similar to your work that would be a companion piece to the "Fullerverse" of Bryan Fuller... Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, and Pushing Daisies, but the time is just not there with me working no fewer than four jobs these days! (And, on a side note, apparently the Hannibal TV series that is on happens in the same "universe" as the other three shows I mentioned...a character from Wonderfalls appeared on Hannibal, and those three other shows have been established as happening in the same world!)

Wow! Love the minimalist layout of this. Looks very vintage/70s layout style which frames the subject matter well.
