I really think someone needs to cut together all of the fan videos shot at Flashback and put them on a DVD available to those on this forum.
Just a suggestion.

This was hands down the best convention I have attended. Hanging out with the forum members here had to have been the most fun I've ever had. Kristen and Dustin were so kind to have let me sit with them at their table, and I had an awesome time at the little pizza party with Kristen, Dustin, Tony and his wife, and Pete after all the activities that Friday night. The famous Chicago stuffed pizza is hands down the best s**t ever! The video of Angus singing that Dustin put together was wonderful, and I am honored that you used my clips. And Dustin, though I am uploading my videos separately, I still want to see them put together with your shots. These movies will now mean more to me as they brought all of us together and I am glad to call you guys my friends. There are many of you whom I wish could have been there with us. But hopefully this won't be the last time we will all see each other in person.

Looks like Bill Thornbury deactivated his FB account again. Was probably being tagged too much after Flashback Weekend this past weekend. He did that before the Con and now after the con. One of my FB friends used to tag him a lot and he mentioned he didn't like it. I guess Phantasm is not a big part of his life. Now it's more about his teaching and music. Yes, when I thanked him (at Flashback 2014)for accepting us all as friends on FB, he made a strange face and said something about how bemused he was at being tagged in so many strange videos, etc.. Great guy.

Hello, phellow Phantasm phans! I want to share with you some photos I took at Flashback Weekend 2014 and previous years. Flashback Weekend PhotosWelcome to Community! I dig the photos. Are you the bearded guy and if so, did you stop by the Exhumed book table? You look familiar. I've just uploaded my second convention video, another musical performance edited together from my and Natalie's footage (thanks Nat!). This time it's of Kat Lester signing her marvelous "Lady in Lavender" song. I slipped a little Tall Man "cameo" into the video when she sings specifically about her "alter ego."

Hi, Dustin! I am next to Reggie B. in the cast picture. I will likely add more photos as I choose and crop the best ones.
My friend and I looped around the dealer floor a few times, but much of the day was spent attending panels, the Phantasm and Robert Englund photo ops, meeting guests, and of course, enjoying the Phantasm stars in concert! Angus Scrimm as the surprise opener was charming and my favorite moment before Reggie and Bill's performance.
Also, I purchased the excellent Phantasm Exhumed upon its release and enjoyed listening to your interview on Deadpit Radio. Thanks for your contributions to the legend of Phantasm!

Heavymetalfeline, glad you liked it! Thanks!
Phanboy, nope. Nothing revealed about anything, really. But it's possible something might be teased or revealed at the upcoming Monsterpalooza!

If anyone is going to post the Q&A, would you be able to just post the part about P5? I've been going to cons since the 90's and much hasn't changed. The only difference I'm seeing now is Angus sitting on a lower chair.

Hey Dustin,
Since both you and Don were in attendance at Flashback did he give you any of his thoughts on your book? In a podcast interview you had mentioned that he was uncertain about it and didn't want to participate. You had also indicated that you were under the impression he perceived you as a thorn in his side based on some of the info this website has dispensed prematurely. I was wondering if he has changed his tune at all, especially since the book has been so well received.

I was curious myself bunsen5x, one of my friends that attended said he didn't bother asking Don for his autograph in the book. I don't know if others didn't bother asking because the pics that I did see had everyone from the cast sign except Don. But you'd think Don would be proud since it was so well received.

From what I hear, his tune has not changed and he's still pretty against the project. I mostly stayed out of his way and we didn't exchange eye contact, much less words. I did hear from fans that came by the Exhumed table that he was refusing to sign books, but that the cast were happy to sign them.

One of the benifits of it being unauthorized is that it is not a hagiography. Don seems to be a down to earth guy who shares the spotlight. maybe he dose not like to toot his own horn. I like your book because it's not a puff peice. I also got your Horror Hound issue.

That's a shame Dustin. The existence of the book only helps him and the franchise. I for one would be flattered if I were in his shoes but c'est la vie.
Aside from Don's gripes with this site, which I understand in part, I seriously wonder what he has against the book.

As long as Angus approves, that's what really counts.

I have met and talked with Don twice and he is a great guy, I think he really just doesn't relish being in the limelight. I think he would rather have the actors handle the publicity side of the business, he just wants to make movies. Deep down inside I am sure Don probably really digs Exhumed, he just isn't the type of guy to show that.

Maybe Don feels there was money to be made on Exhumed and he's not getting a slice of something based on his franchise. Idk. It's a marvelous book! Great job, Dustin. Thanks for putting in so many years of work. It really paid off!

This was the most fun I ever had at a convention! It was an awesome experience. I never imagined that I would meet the entire cast of Phantasm! ( : I got all 5 of my posters fully signed, I just need to get them up on my wall now so I can enjoy them everyday. I met a few folks from the forum as well, Dustin comes up to me in line and points out my Phantasm Exhumed book, he gives me a disapproving look and tells me that he heard that book really sucked...lol. I was unsure what to say until he introduced himself as the author, we had a good laugh. I spoke with the photographer Kristin and she told me some of the great stories about her photos from the book. Here are some pictures we took at the Convention, Not all of them are Phantasm Related: www.flickr.com/photos/stephanie_martens/sets/72157650509286142/
