Ok I am watching Phantasm 3 and I noticed something I hadn't before.
Rocky has the exact same type of knife the Lady in lavender/Tall Man has in P1 and also Rocky at the end does drive away in the hearse. Now the last time someone other than the Tall Man drove off in a hearse ( other than Mike) was in P2 and well we saw what happened to Alchemy and so was really working with the Tall Man.
So I'm thinking maybe Rocky was one of the Tall man's minions?
I know it's far fetched but so is alot of theories we come up with sometimes and it's something to think about.

Yeah, that came into my mind about the 2nd or 3rd time I watched P3. But Rocky never harmed Reggie or Tim, unlike what Alchemy did at the end of P2. That's when it confuses me.

Maybe she hasn't had the chance to yet. Perhaps she snagged Tim at the end. Could the Tall Man be waiitng to use her later??? I don't think 4 barrells theory is a far stretch at all. Lots could happen here...

Damned interesting, very sharp to notice that knife. (Ew, I made a bad joke, I swear to all I hold sacred and profane that I didn't intend that.) Hm, maybe that was implied by what she said about killin' zombies "not being her gig"? And she and her pal DID attack Reggie at the mausoleum. Reggie was thinking with the small head, a little? and seemed to trust her far too much for someone who attacked him in a mausoleum...Also she had no fear of the sphere that killed her pal and seemed totally unaffected by it. And what was meant when she said I ain't leavin' here until I do what I have to do." Was that "give her pal a Christian burial"?

I also notice if the Tall Man had been in that Mausoleum where Rocky and her friend were how would they still be alive? Otherwise maybe they were reanimated for the Tall mans purposes.
Rocky may have saved Reg a time or two but lets not forget Alchemy came back for them in P2 and acted like one of the good guys as well.
I also noticed after Reggie runs off after Mike and Tim walks away it shows Rocky standing there looking around very strangely and if I am recalling this right after she leaves ( In the Hearse) Reggie and Tim go back in and the cryogenics container is tipped over and Rocky was the last one in the room with it.

I never once thought any of that about Rocky. It does make sense though. I'll be sure to pay more attention than usual next time I watch Phantasm III.

I just watched P3 again and noticed that very thing about her being in the room with it. This is a good example of something discussed in another thread about how the Tall Man likes to play games, it would be too simple to just kill everyone after all. He's like a cat who likes to play games with the mice.

Rocky may have saved Reg a time or two but lets not forget Alchemy came back for them in P2 and acted like one of the good guys as well. In every other film (besides P1) Reggie's sex interest turns out to be a sphere-chucker (couldn't resist that one, sorry) first Alchemy in P2 and Jennifer in P4 so there's kind of a pattern set.

Her expression was odd there so it's definitely possible. I just hope she didn't do any of that & was still on the good guys' side. It would make for an interesting twist though.

Its a good theory. When Alchemy revealed her true self the result was a hearse crash, continued into Phantasm 3 with Mike injured and the Tall man having to wait after Reggie threatened to use the grenade. In Phantasm III, Tall man got Mike so no need for Rocky to reveal her true side. Honestly, I believe Rocky was a good guy, but I like these sound possibilites.

Like I said before, it would make for one hell of a twist...especially after all of these years.
Rocky being on Tally's side is something I've never thought of until it was brought up here.

Something else, a bit of deja vu, Rocky was waiting on the roadside as Tim awoke from sleeping sort of the same thing Mike experienced in his dream about Alchemy on the side of the road. Also following the idea that Rocky was working for the Tallman that could explain why the fleet of gravers didn't give a more vigorous pursuit. That fleet of gravers surely would have overrun our heroes but why chase them if an agent of the Tallman was already in the group? Just something to think about.

I think the parallels are interesting between Rocky and Alchemey. But Don seems to have put a lot of those into Phantasm III when they didn't have much value. Like Tim.
Ever stop to think about just how many ways Tim equals Mike? His parents were taken by the Tall Man just like Mike. He has an older brotherly figure (Reggie) who tries to ditch him (orphanage) just like Mike. He dives out the back of a hearse window driven by the Tall Man just like Mike. He's pulled backwards through glass at the end by one of the Tall Man's cronies just like Mike. He has a fireside chat with Reggie framed and shot just like Mike. He even wears a frickin' jean jacket for crying out loud.
But is Tim really Mike? Is Tim going to be Tall one day? It would seem not. I plan on asking Don this one day why he included all of these parallels.

I noticed the parallels between Mike & Tim as well but never really thought much of it. They are quite uncanny though.

This brings up the question in P4 when Reggie is lookin through what I assume is brush or weeds he see's something on the other side that looks to be wearing the same Hoodie Tim was wearing in P3

Reggie's nightmare from P4 where he's trying to see through the tall blades of grass is hands down, the scariest scene in the whole series for me.
Whatever he's looking at, it doesn't look entirely human and it's hiding, moving as Reg moves. Scary as hell.
