I don't know if this has ever been brought up, but I was curious if anyone out there knows where the entrance to Perigord cemetery was filmed? I read on previous posts that the cemetery scenes were indeed shot in Sunnyside Cemetery in Long Beach, but not the scenes where the hearse and cuda enter the cemetery. The entrance has that very distinctive crown gate above the pillars, so I was wondering whether that was put up just for the movie or was it a real cemetery somewhere in Los Angeles.

Well, I can't tell you for sure, but you are right that we did film up at Sunnyside Cemetery on Willow Street in Long Beach for much of the picture. However, I think the answer to your question is: Evergreen Cemetery in Los Angeles. I had some runs to Evergreen during the day they were filming at the cemetery's chapel (for the interior shots of the funeral for Liz's grandfather. One of my errands was to pick up a painter/construction crew member who had been injured while putting up the cemetery gate/signs for that night's shooting. I had to take him to the local hospital. So, although I don't recall seeing the gate other than from a distance, and did not return to see any of the night filming, my gut instinct was that Evergreen was the Perigord entrance. The gate I saw online, however, doesn't look like the one in the movie. But I'm sure there were multiple entrance gates to this rather large cemetery. Hope this helps!

Thanks for that question harobil1...I've wondered about that one myself and thankyou postmortem for answering. Postmortem would probably know this one also but I remember the prep room scenes from P2 and thinking...the Tall Man uses Champion! I know Kristen will understand that one.

I always loved Champion fluids too! Bottles looked so cool. But my supervisors seemed to prefer Dodge products instead. Also, I always got a kick out of how the trocars were made by "Slaughter." Shop talk, I love it!

Yup, we used Dodge as well. Good ole Permaglo. I here you obliviongoon. I would mix permaglo with restorative to make a good humectant based fluid. Now Dodge offers the same mixture labeled as "Humeglo".

I see we have more than one person trained in the embalming arts here. I knew post mortem was in that line of work previously, but it is kinda creepy there are more of you guys out there. Adds a whole new perspective to the community and understanding of some of your Phandom. Gotta love the Phans!
