On this IMDB discussion, someone claiming to be Gigi Bannister (and having a decades long IMDB history that seems to corroborate it) claims that Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones is playing a new character called "Hedge" in RaVager. That's a pretty big coup for the movie, if true, as he's a rather high profile actor these days. Here is a screencap from the trailer showing a little person fighting the Tall Man alongside Mike and Reggie: And here is peter Dinklage: Is this the same guy? I'm actually not sure, and my girlfriend swears it's not him. I guess there may be more than one short person in the film. What do you think? Attachments:

Gigi is officially involved with P5 and has been from the beginning. Where did she talk about Peter's involvement? Hasn't he been filming Game of Thrones in Ireland for years now (he grew up in a town where I was born), though it's possible he was involved back around 2009 or so... As for the little person in that trailer, nope, sure doesn't look like Peter (who has reddish hair and intense blue eyes, and differently shaped eyebrows). The actor below looks to have brown hair, and dark brown (?) eyes. That's not to say there aren't other little people involved in the film... I wasn't part of the production so my guess is as good as yours. Good topic!

Also Dave Sechrist who coined the phrase "Hot As Love" just passed and we went to his memorial on Monday. Lastly, a new character, Hedge, has been added. Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones. He's an awesome dude. ▲ Top

It would be weird if they had a big name actor, only to show him so fleetingly in the trailer that no one notices who he is. Keeping him out of the trailer entirely, in order to save the reveal for later, would indeed make more sense than a half-assed blink-and-you-miss-it introduction. So if Gigi (if that *is* really her) is correct about Dinklage being in the film, and that isn't him in the trailer (the more I look, the more I agree that it isn't), then there must indeed be more than one little person actor in the film playing something other than a Dwarf minion. I wonder if these are people adapted to the the Red Planet - remember Mike figured out the higher gravity as the reason Tally shrunk his minions in the first film - perhaps having gone through the shrinking process without first being killed and embalmed? As for the Game of Thrones shooting schedule, you might be right about his scenes being shot beforehand, and even excepting that I don't imagine they shoot solid for twelve months a year. It seems the whole thing behind RaVager's weirdly extended production is that they were able to shoot a bit here, a bit there, and fit it all in around everyone's schedules. So, it's possible either way. I think Dinklage is the right level of star power for something like this. Famous enough for his name to bring in some new Phans, but not some huge celebrity whose presence will detract from the film and pull us away from the central characters.

After reading this post my initial thought was that Mrs. Bannister was saying the character is similar to Peter Dinklage's in Game of Thrones. I think she's using him as an example even though it's not quite clear in her statement.
Regardless,it's amazing how little info we have seeing as the film was officially announced three months ago. A rare feat in this day and age. Hopefully a longer trailer and distribution announcement will come soon.

Yeah, I haven't read the books or seen the show either, I'm just interested in this in relation to Ravager's casting. It seems to offer circumstantial evidence that supports Gigi's (?) apparent assertion that he is in the movie.

Okay... I believe you. Peter is an incredible actor. P5 just got a lot better in my mind if he is in it!

I wonder if RaVanger will feature little people being crunched down into extremely small evil dwarfs in the size of a hand, able to access through ventilation shafts and so on... =)
Or are all little people reversed evil dwarves? Maybe Mike discovered the secrets of making Tallys actions go back to living... re-reanimate! And that is why we see several little people in this movie, all of a sudden.
Just kidding around. But it starts my head to spin; I really like the idea of little people added next to the heroes we know.

If he is in it, that's not the person in the top picture. It would be good to see him in that, but I'm not sure whether it actually will be. I'm always a bit wary of IMDB info, it's a bit like Wikipedia with user added content.
I've been duped with P5 info on there before.

Will he be playing "The Short Man"? Hehe sorry, had to... so we want this confirmed or will his appearance in the film be better as a surprise when we see the movie?

Will he be playing "The Short Man"? Hehe sorry, had to... so we want this confirmed or will his appearance in the film be better as a surprise when we see the movie? That's the question, I suppose: do we really want to know yet? I dunno. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally hungry for any info I could get on the movie, but perhaps the very reason this hasn't been announced officially is that they're saving it for some kind of big reveal. Who knows! I seem to recall that the other big unconfirmed casting rumour - that Gloria Lynn Henry is set to appear again as Rocky - also came from Gigi Fast Elk Bannister. So either she is "leaky" with information that Don would rather keep a lid on, or she's just gently tolling us all

To be honest with you, I think we'll see James Le Gros, Bruce Cambell, Peter Dinklage, and Gloria Lynn Henry.

To be honest with you, I think we'll see James Le Gros, Bruce Cambell, Peter Dinklage, and Gloria Lynn Henry. I really don't see Bruce Campbell being in this. His character was the lead in a totally different script, for an altogether different version of Phantasm 5 that was in pre-production about the turn of the millennium. Given that a lot of the footage for this movie was shot with the intention of a low budget web series, I doubt we'll see many big names in it from outwith the series regulars. Dinklage I could imagine, but Dinklage and Bruce Campbell seems like a stretch. I agree the other names are possible, though.

I think anything is possible. How many B movies has Bruce done for a paycheck? I don't think he'd mind putting in a cameo for his buddy. Hell, I could say the same about Paul Giamatti considering he's a big phan. Money is the key factor here and with these four producers, the executive producer particularly, Brad Baruh, who was also a producer for the acclaimed Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter, which is currently getting the TV treatment, I don't think they were short of funds. This may very well have started low budget, (web series) but how much of that was shot before Don Coscarelli was involved? Don was happy to have 25% of Oblivion in the can with all the flashbacks before touching his budget, and for all we know this is the same. Also, if you throw out a name like Peter Dinklage to other potential cast members, I think they'd be more willing to participate. Lastly, David Hartman is successful in his own right and this wouldn't have been his first job as a producer, but they were able to complete their vision without his monetary involvement, therefore I think this final Phantasm will be better than any of us expect.

You make a good case, I hope you are right! It would be very cool! Thinking about the dwarf actors in this movie (not the Tall Man's lurkers, the regular dudes with dwarfism that we see in the trailer): do you think they could be MIKE'S minions? Maybe he's at war with the Tall Man on the Red Planet and is using his new powers and captured minions (with the mutations reversed, as someone suggested) as his soldiers. I'm sure they would be only to happy to fight against the man who stole their lives and shrunk them down.
