Not intending to be negative. I love collecting Phantasm stuff. It's a hobby/passion of mine. I am just confused on two things 1. Why did this sell for $2500.00. It's a super cool display and a fun piece no doubt. I confirmed with the seller that neither the hand nor the sphere were screen used. 2. Why is this poster going for $450.00. Again, super cool poster and a great piece for any Phantasm collection or horror collection. Historically and even recently (July) sold for 70 bucks on ebay. Oddly enough the seller is the same from the item above. www.ebay.com/itm/Phantasm-1979-Poster-sphere-movie-prop-used-Angus-Scrimm-ball-screen-photo-/261580803939?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce76e4f63Again no negative intentions, just generally confused as to why these two specific items are going for as high as they are thanks and happy phriday

They sold because Phantasm is popular right now and that's the price the seller promoted It is simply an outrageous price, but it is one of a kind, and autographed by the entire main cast and even gloria lynn-henry and the even more rare James Legros. It also plays like 30 songs right? Id say 1500 is a more reasonable price. I don't understand our myself

I get what your saying, but that poster just ended at 800 bucks. Seems rigged. No way that poster sold legitimately for that price. Now anyone that goes on eBay to sell one of these is going to think the poster is worth 800-1k when in reality it's $70-100. Bizarre. Still confused;)

Is it a poster from 78 or a reprint? I guess if it's over 30 years old that adds to the value.

Ebay has the original for 70-100 or so dollars regularly. Just have to check often.
The poster we are specifically talking about is the Australian day bill under the title "The Never Dead". It sold for 800 last week, but is worth around 70-100 as well
