Holá! Long-time phan, first time poster. I'm incredibly hyped for the advent of the final chapter in my favorite horror film franchise, so forgive me if I forego the usual pleasantries of a formal introduction and jump right into the fray.
Like everyone else here, I am hopeful that RaVager sheds a little light on some of the more mysterious, opaque elements of the Phantasm series. In particular I'm expecting revelations about the Tall Man's home planet/dimension, and about his strange mystical communion with Mike.
That said, it wouldn't be a Phantasm film if it didn't leave a great many unanswered questions hanging in the wind. In particular, I do not expect:
1. A follow-up to the lone reference to the 'bag plague' in OblIVion.I understand that to be a set-up for the post-apocalyptic scenario from Roger Avary's Phantasm's End project, and as RaVager is unrelated to that script I would think the 'bag plague' concept will be abandoned with it.
2. I would be shocked if Coscarelli gave us any more background material on the Fortune Teller, as it would mean recasting the role.
3. The concept of the Tall Man abducting living girls was present in the first film to a small extent (Reggie mentioned having freed some of them after regrouping with Mike and Jody outside the Gate Room) and kind of touched on in the second with Liz, but it's such a minor thing that I doubt it gets revisited now.
What about you? What do you not expect to learn the answers to in Phantasm V?

I dont expect them to explain how the giant sphere came to be. Though an interesting concept would be them combining to form that gargantuan monster. That'd at least give the world a shot in its current state to stop the tall man's apocalyptic progress.

I think they almost have to explain the purpose of what will undoubtedly be referred to as the 'Death Star', if not its actual construction (I doubt very much that there's some massive brain in the thing). It's kind of incongruous otherwise, though of course that's never stopped this franchise before.
My hypothesis: a repurposed piece of mining equipment from the Red Planet turned into a weapon of mass destruction.

Remember in Phantasm II when the sphere incinerated the rat? This super-sphere's building-destroying laser could also simply be an upscaled version of that weapon. I still doubt it's controlled by an equally large brain, though.
