Awesome! I can't wait! I have the LaserDisc and DVD versions as well (and I think I had it on VHS at one point).

Blu-ray/DVD Extras revealed!: phantasmarchives.blogspot.com/2016/10/new-blu-ray-details-for-phantasm.html"PHANTASM REMASTERED BLU-RAY BONUS FEATURES: **New 5.1 Surround Sound **Original Mono Track **Audio Commentary with Director & Writer Don Coscarelli, Michael Baldwin (Mike), Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man), and Bill Thornbury (Jody) **Graveyard Carz Episode **Interviews from 1979 with Don Coscarelli and Angus Scrimm **Deleted Scenes **Trailers" Looks we're getting the Mono mix for the first time since the MGM DVD! Still, hold on to your old releases for the unaltered theatrical version (since unfortunately it doesn't look like it will be there) and differing extras.

That artwork is amazing. I do though have a question about it.
What's up with the white line running down from the A in Phantasm to the Tall Man's eye?

Great choice in choosing Well Go USA!
Not having this in stock at Amazon during the holidays is such a smart move!

After being one of those people insisting that I'll never need another version of Phantasm, I've gotta eat crow and admit I was wrong. I was blown away by the airing on the Syfy channel a few weeks ago and pleasantly surprised that the blu-ray looks and sounds even sharper. One [minor] thing stands out that's been bugging me a bit though...
I know for this remastered version, various tinkering was done where certain things were digitally taken out (fishing line) or added in (the new sphere). Were things actually added/taken out in regards to the sound? Like I noticed in the scenes with the cuda, it's louder and sounds different. Were those engine sounds dubbed in or merely amplified somehow?

Love the comparison site! Question: How does the remastered DVD compare to the Anchor Bay version? I'm still using DVD, don't have a Blu-Ray player (or compatible tv) yet.
