Happy 40th Anniversary Phantasm!!! That's the first part (couldn't start this post without wishing and acknowledging the wonderful film's 40th birthday today!).
Second, big news out of left field today (and the day couldn't be better timing!) as Well Go USA announced they'll be releasing all 5 films on Blu-ray again in another collection! Only this time bigger and better than before! Replica sphere, 4K restoration for Phantasm II, extended RaVager documentary, and all previous and brand-new extras are just the tip of the iceberg!
Bloody-Disgusting News has the full report!:

you missed out on the previously released (and sold out) box set, Well Go USA Entertainment is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Don Coscarelli‘s horror classic Phantasm with a brand new Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray set of the complete film series. The kicker? The new set will include an officially authorized, full-scale replica of the original Phantasm killer sphere prop!
Fans who have been clamoring for another Blu-ray box set – since the previous box set sold out instantly and many were left empty-handed – can get their hands on the new collection this Halloween season.
Bloody Disgusting also exclusively learned that the “Phantasm Sphere Collection”, in addition to all the Phantasm films and previous supplemental materials, will be packed with new extras. The centerpiece will be a meticulous 4K restoration of 1988’s Phantasm II, personally supervised by Coscarelli.
Other phantastic extras include a newly-created Dolby Atmos track of the original Phantasm (by Post Haste Digital) and a new, longer feature-length documentary on the making of Phantasm: Ravager, with more to come.
Check out some early concept art by Aaron Lea. There are two variants, one black marble, and the other white. Which do you like better?
