Yeah, I do "manage" that page. I actually even created that entry for the film.
Don't believe anything you read on the IMDB or Wikipedia. Goto Phantasm5.com for real news and updates. I'm not saying it's not possible for someone other than me to have P5 news, but those two sites are notorious for crap information.

A Whalers fan! Awesome. I miss all the old teams... Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford, Minnesota... I know they've become new teams, but it's just not the same. Dallas does NOT equal Minnesota. I myself, being from Michigan, am a pretty huge Wings fan. I also really love Toronto, but man that team has been in shambles for years. And the only real reason I still love Toronto, Mats Sundin, could possibly be coming to Detroit pretty soon here. We'll see. It's nice to see someone here who enjoys a good game of puck. It's a shame you're not too interested anymore, but I totally get what you're saying about players and salaries. The NBA makes me f-ing vomit. Just a little update for fellow hockey fans. (hey, Baldwin is involved, so it's Phantasm related) re: Whalers. articles.courant.com/2010-03-20/sports/hc-jacobs-column0320.artmar20_1_baldwin-whalers-nhlThe local AHL team up here, the Hartford Wolfpack now owned by Baldwin, changed their name to the Whale. Just watched Slap Shot 2 and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent, original point of view shots of the game itself (special features explains how they did this). It even touches upon what we discussed earlier in this thread concerning $$$$. There's other interesting points made concerning big corporations, and how certain "sports" could be scripted or staged. Just don't make the mistake of comparing this direct to video release to the original. It's got the Hanson Brothers (who did play for The Whalers at one point; WHA), bathroom humor, and hot hockey chicks as well. Just an interesting update for you hockey fans...
