OK here we are, sorry for the wait.
What did Don Coscarelli (before filming) tell makeup effects expert Mark Shostrom the title of Phantasm 2 was?

I'm going to have to add a bonus question to Gopher's question.
For another point and all our admiration, what was the false title under which Phantasm II was shot? This is a DIFFERENT answer. (If you're stuck, the Archives is a good place to look for both.)

Well you got American Gothic correct... not sure about Dustin's bonus question though.
Go ahead and ask the next question my friend!

Yep. Don told Mark Shostrom that the film would be called 'American Gothic' and the shooting title for Phantasm II was 'Morningside' which wound up on the script.

In Phantasm 1, when Mike is pulled through the spacegate into the atmosphere of the red planet, he witnesses a line of dwarves.
Though many of these dwarves were played by costumed children, most of the background one's are what?

This isn't directly about Phantasm but does involve Reggie so I'm going to go ahead & ask it. It's all that I could think of.
Which movie stars both ice cream men: Reggie Bannister & Clint Howard?

The funny thing about that particular flick is that it wasn't made as a Silent Night sequel. It was made as a standalone thriller called 'Initation' and later retitled to capatilize on the success of the Silent Night series. Kind of like cheating, no?

Not to mention that it's a pretty terrible movie to begin with minus Reg's cameo just for the Reg factor & Clint Howard digging in a trashcan at the beginning.
Yuzna flicks are either hit or miss.

Yes, those movies were successful. They were made for nothing. They raked in the dollars. In regard to movies, I can't imagine any other connotation of the word 'successful'.

And they're remaking the first movie, which will suck but at least Anchor Bay is rereleasing the original on DVD in a few months.

I figured they were probably flops considering all the negative reviews everything after part 1 got . There needs to be a box-set ;D
