I'm excited about the demo release of Clive Barkers Jericho. I loved The Undying, which I can strongly recommend to everyone as a good horror FPS with plenty of atmosphere and chills even though its old by video game standards.

Yeah, I've been wanting to check both of those out when I can get a good enough computer to run Jericho.

For those of you who love video game music, if you haven't been to this site already, what are you waiting for? www.ocremix.org/There are even full albums to download for free. I recommend "Doom: The Dark Side of Phobos."

wyckid, thanks for the link, I'm going to check it out. As far as I'm concerned the music in a video game, like in a movie, can make or break it for atmosphere and momentum. I really enjoyed the music in the Undying and Sin Episodes Emergence.

Oh, I'm also due for a computer upgrade, I don't think my current rig would meet the specs for Jericho.

Right now I'm going a bit old school. I've been playing Chrono Trigger for the past few days. One of the greatest RPGs ever made with a very high replay value.

I'm also playing some old games. I have been messing around with Nobody Lives Forever 1 & 2 and I'm getting ready to install Gabriel Knight 3.

Chrono Trigger is the RPG to end all RPGs. Great story, great gameplay, etc...
I've been pondering buying some old PC horror games like Darkseed and Phantasmogoria. Old PC games ROCK.

Phantasmorgia is great. The Sierra forum and several websites have good advice on getting it to run with XP. Gabriel Knight 2 The Beast Within is also good. These titles are high points in the interactive story genre.

I just got back into Star Wars Galaxies after not playing for over 4 years. A lot has changed but it's still pretty fun.

I just dusted off Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. I'm vowing not to go online if I get stuck.
This has one of the Phantasm themes in it ...."rifts in the time space continuum".

Been playing Metroid Prime 3 for my Wii, and guys... it rocks. Totally beats out any console FPS in terms of control. How bout' accuracy. I was debating on the Wii. I like the different twist on playing, but it just seems to me that new consoles lack the accuracy of the old. But being 3D I understand the trade off. This is a generalization, I'm obviously not a heavy gamer anymore. I just don't get the same feel as "old school" games like Defender and Contra, as far as pinpoint accuracy.

As far as accuracy goes, Metroid Prime 3 is probably the best from any 3D game there is. I mean it got to the point where I could double jump over a pit, turn 180 degrees while in the air, and pick off a space pirate several platforms away.
I agree with how you feel about old school games. Nothing will ever recapture that feel.
