I agree. I really liked Legros as Mike. I thought it was a pretty good transition from P1 to P2.
But a different Reg...I just don't see how it could have worked.

Although James Le Gros did okay as the teenage Mike, I would obviously have preferred Michael Baldwin to play Mike. The movie was still good, yet it wasn't the same, as it were. One story I had heard was that Michael Baldwin had to 're-audition' for the character he'd made as his own, and I didn't think that was fair. As for the one and only Reggie Bannister - no one else could play Reggie.

Only Reggie Bannister can play Reggie. I can't imagine someone else. That would be a real nightmare.

that was totally unfair and if you notice Don spent a lot less money the way he did the first Phantasm and grossed nearly 12mil, only spending 300k, but for P2 he spent nearly 3mil and got a little over 7mil go figure, if they let him do it his way? he would have probably grossed 22mil at the box office, they really suck totally, they ruined it.

but the actors were great however that's not how Don would have done it, I love seeing what the director wants
