What a bad*ss kid Mike was. I never rode around on motorcycles when I was his age... I don't even do that now!

Those bikes were quite popular back in the late 70's. And mini bikes, and skateboarding. At least if my memory serves me correctly. I was knee high to a jack rabbit back then.

Sounds like my childhood. Guns , bikes , dune buggys on the beach (which ya cant do any more). Camping out on the beach, with a big camp fire(ya cant do anymore) Running gill nets and cooking and piging out on fresh fish on the beach (ya cant do any more). Safe sex??? WTF is "safe sex" nerer heard of that? No such thing as DUI. Whats a DUI... Had no idea "Have a drink have a drive, go out and see what you can find" as Mongo Jerry said. No crime or very lil. No big government. Gas was 23 cents a gal. An oz of weed was $15....not that I ever tryed it. of course. Hot rod cars EVERY WHERE. The most I ever paid for a hot car back then was $1200 for a 70 RT Charger, one of my Challengers was $900, sweet clean 340. Paid 800 bucks for my 383 'Cuda in perfect condition low miles. Brand new dirt bike was $500 right off the show room floor. Black people actually sang and they could really played musical instruments, and it sounded great! instead of rimeing and making grunting sounds like now days... I can go on and on.... Ill say this there is no way Id want to be a young person comming up today. I really really feel so sorry for young folks today. And most have no idea of how bad and how far down the quality of life is now from what it was.....Oh yeah ,its all been replaced by the internet now ,woopie....a poor trade if you ask me.....just my two cents

"Call to John now." But yeah, I'd like to own that bike & ride around in cemeteries. Maybe I'd see a Tall Man lift up coffins with ease!

Robinson is dieing and Charlton Heston comes in and gets a glimpse of what the world was and hes like....."how could I have known?" sob sob..............i think VanHalen said it best...."where have all the good times gone"

It's all over but the crying. ;D (I'm joking, really) Hey, just because I'm young doesn't mean I am like all the other young people who do not appreciate the good things. I like the classic cars ('cudas, Chevelle SS), the classic music (Beatles, Pink Floyd) classic films (Phantasm, Le ballon rouge). I have been trying to set a trend at my school, and all the young boys and girls think I'm strange because I don't like the things they like.

Man the old days sound great seems like you could do alot of things and times were just way better then. I really can't stand alot of things nowdays and I'm not old at all it just seems like alot of things are so restricted and bad for you now everyone is so safety conscious nowdays. it really is sad how things have changed so much in so short a time span.
