Did anyone notice that the Bubba website was down yesterday save for a big 80-size Hellboy-ish font that said 'Who'?
Now I get it. I totally dig this casting choice.

I'll be damned... Pearlman and Scimm facing down the forces of evil. Love it. Here's a link to the Bubba website. If you click on "Who" it will take you to an interview with Paul Giamatti. (Warning: The interview contains some language that might be sensitive to some) bubbahotep.com/

It should be awesome. I've been watching a good deal of Angus' movies lately (outside of Phantasm), I've just been really impressed by his work. I watched "The Off Season" the other night, while the film was sub-par, Angus' performance was compelling. Same goes for Automatons, Mindwarp, Legend of The Phantom Rider and Satanic. I'm so amped to see "I Sell The Dead" and "Satan Hates You." This should just be another great performance to add to the shelf. Angus is able to morph into whatever he does, I suppose that's what is missing in Hollywood these days.

It will be really interesting to see the Col. Parker character. Like Paul G. said, in the eyes of many, he was a vampire. Maybe they picked Pearlman because of his chin. At first I was like... ?, but until he's in the full get up....I'm sure he will do a great job. Maybe Bruce envisions and realizes the potential enormous popularity of the Bubba character, so, even though he's shaking the Ash mystique(trying to, I don't think the fans we let you ;D) , he would be right back at square one with "The King".

Yeah, sorry I'm late to post the news folks. Check out this link where Paul Giamatti discusses things in an interview at AICN: www.aintitcool.com/node/38925

OblivionGoon,
Do yourself a favor and find a bootleg of Jim The World's Greatest**. It is a rather depressing film, but Angus is simply amazing. His portrayal as an abusive alcoholic father is Oscar worthy. Some of his best acting ever.
**I really wish Anchor Bay would get the rights to release this film onto DVD.

As to the DVD... there's a company holding it up from being released. I'll give you three guesses as to who it is. The first two don't count. (This isn't private knowledge, it's been announced at cons before.)

I have been unable to even hear of bootlegs for this flick, no VHS, DVD, BETA.. nothing. I have seen posters on Ebay quite often. If anyone knows a source... hit me up.

I believe it was. People have copies of it, they are just very scarce.

I don't really care much for Hellboy but I do like Ron Pearlman quite a bit. Good casting choice.

Yep, looks like the new movie is gearing up to go! Exciting stuff!! Here's hoping Don gets straight back to Phantasm when he's done.

They tried to recruit Ron Perlman in Phantasm 5 Ravager unfortunately he turned it down. He would 've been a great minion.
