I'm sure some have read this on Wiki. Interesting, but it seems to be the mere interpretation of a fan.
The flashbacks (deleted scenes) from the original Phantasm movie is what happened in reality. The entire events in the original was a dream, sent by the Tall Man, in order to affect Mike's perception of reality.
In reality: Mike and Jody's parents were killed by the Tall Man in 1977; Mike and Jody hang him on a noose; Mike is tricked by the Tall Man to cut him down; Jody is killed in a car wreck in 1978; the Tall Man transforms him into one of his own kind; Mike is sent off to live with Reggie; The Tall Man keeps sending him weird dreams; Mike is sent off to an institution for 7 years; the events of the Phantasm II take place.
In the dream: The entire events of the original Phantasm take place, including Reggie's house blowing up at the beginning of Phantasm II.
Also in reality, the telekinetic girl from Phantasm II was really the granddaughter of the Psychic in the dream, that's how she and Mike have a connection, because Mike actually knew her in reality.
The Psychic in the dream is believed to be the Tall Man's mother, in a time before he became what he is now.
What is the "dream" that this person is talking about? Are they saying that all of P4 was a dream?

Thats....actually really good. I would argue with a little of it but for the most part I really would't mind that being the official timeline. Especially since it gives purpose to the flashbacks in [glow=orange,2,300]Phantasm IV: Oblivion[/glow], which I and most people found interesting but story wise kinda disregarded. The only thing about [shadow=red,left,300]Liz[/shadow] being the fortune tellers daughter is that is gives her yet even more significance and even more of a connection to the plot, making the third film's writing all the harder to bear. Very cool find though. And yes,

The thing I didn't like was that someone was passing off their opinions as fact, that's a bunch of bunk. There is never a "this is how it happened, end of story" type situation in Phantasm, never. It's rather pointless to post stuff like this as fact, since anyone who watches the series, and knows the series well, would know that nothing is ever as it seems.

Well...it's Wikipedia. We have to take a lot of the less concrete things with a grain of salt.
Those are really interesting interpretations though.
