Now, I'm not endorsing this site, or admitting that I frequent this site (The McDonald's of horror sites, with more obtuse moronic ranting per square thread), but I found this review to be a little interesting, and surprisingly....favorable. At first I was like, "does he think it's Italian because of the last name Coscarelli?" Or, not being a film student (like many of the posters claim), does it have Italian movie elements to it. I know I could research this on the web to find out, but if we did that with everything there wouldn't be ANY informational posts, just opinion. Anyone? www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/105/review

The film doesn't really have too many elements of the Italian Giallo (put simply an ultraviolent cross between a "whodunnit" and a slasher movie) or other "spaghetti" genres, and there was no Italian finance involved in the making of the movies. Really there is no connection - literally or thematically - so I guess the guy just made a mistake based on the surname of the director.
