Anybody have any interesting Halloween plans this year? I'm going to attend a few movie screenings throughout the month to celebrate, the Exorcist, a double-feature of Frankenstein and his Bride and finally Rocky Horror on Monday the 31st. They're serving green pea soup in the theater for the Exorcist. Ewwww. I've been super busy as of late trying to track down this escaped mental patient of mine. I went to his home and still couldn't find him. I did find a mute trick-or-treater though.

I would'nt say my plans are interesting...just going to scare the little ones with my homemade dark crystal costume. I built a skeksis and really got some good scares last year with it. Here is a link to the video on youtube if anyone is interested. youtu.be/VfEUK-PbKEw

I have class.... so by the time I get out the night will be over.
Other than that I attended Spooky Empire this past weekend and I plan on going to Halloween Horror Nights next weekend.

I can't make any plans. I'm working Halloween night. The 12 hour shifts really stink. But pretty much what I might do is watch horror movies that weekend. I thought about attending a showing of The Exorcist at Hollywood Blvd. in Woodridge, Il, where Linda Blair is hosting it.

I think the highlight for me is watching my Grandchildren enjoy Halloween. I hope they grow to enjoy it as much as i did as a child. My Brother's birthday is Halloween, i always thought that was cool. I have celebrated this year with watching a TON of horror movies every weekend, lol. I don't know if this exactly counts as part of "big plans", but my wife put out the Charlie Brown Halloween decorations, LOL. Say what you will, Charlie Brown ranks second only to Phantasm in Prymalville.

Probably of to a friend's for a party on Halloween. Have to paint my wife's baby bump like a big pumpking as her outfit. I've no idea what I'll do. Probably goth or nerd myself up a bit.

Well besides watching horror movies d**n near every night, I actually have a couple of cool plans.
On the 22nd, I am going to this really huge and cool event in Detroit called "The Initiation". It was formerly called Theatre Bizarre, and is known for being a big "underground" Halloween party that would take place at the fairgrounds and have thousands of attendees with various horror acts and attractions, etc. It got shut down 2 years ago for violating some of the Detroit city code, but now it's making it's way back. The Initiation is an event with mandatory costumes, and you have to be 21 or older to get in. Should be pretty thrilling.
Then on the weekend just before Halloween, my fiance and I will be doing some less tame (but still cool) Halloween stuff with our friends from Australia (where apparently Halloween is basically non-existent). Probably a haunted house/hayride, costume party, and maybe a Halloween event at the local pub.

That party must be insane for a $65 ticket. Seems like they are really keen on anonymity, makes me wonder what goes on....

Exactly my thoughts. Luckily my ticket was a gift, otherwise I'd probably not go because of the price.
I said the EXACT same thing in regards to the anonymity. It's sort of exciting but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit freaked out too. If I never pop up again online after the 22nd, have someone investigate this whole "Initiation" thing.

I would be lying if I said I didn't want to go. Sounds like an absolute crazy ass party. Hope you have a good time. Would be even more awesome if it was in an old factory, Mason's building or even the Cadillac Hotel (Detroit has their pick of old amazing architecture that is abandoned).

It actually is in the Masonic Temple in Detroit, which is a HUGE old building. Should be cool for that at least. Edit: Here's an old pic of the place.

Pretty awesome sounding party, Goph. If we don't hear from you afterwards, we'll know some secret, underground, masked society inducted you into their ranks.

Dustin, great pics man. Love the Beistle decorations.
As for our Halloween plans, quite simple with our 14 month old daughter. We've gone to the pumpkin patch, decorated the house (vintage Beistle and blow mold style) and my wife and I are going to a party on the 29th.
On Halloween I'm off from work, so I'll watch a monster movie marathon, finish carving pumpkins, pick up our daughter from daycare, some kids Halloween specials for her, pass out candy to the TOTers with my daughter in her costume watching the kids come to the house with some more monster movies on in the background.
After she goes to sleep, dinner and wine with my wife...
