Whoa buddy, I accept suggestions... but not flat out demands. Couple of problems with the images you "suggested"...
The first one of Liz isn't "Liz". It's Paula Irvine. I don't want to make Phantasm banners with pictures of the actors, I want to make Phantasm banners with pictures of the characters. The only exception to this rule, and that's the Lady in Lavender. When I made that one, I only used images I could find online (as opposed to now where I grab my own screens, i.e. the Reg getting gooped ones I just made), and I simply could not find a picture of Kathy Lester that was of her in character.
The rest of the images, especially the last one of Mike and Liz, are way too small. I actually already have an image of the "Mr. Balls to the face" that's larger, so I can make that one.
Just a suggestion, maybe be a little more friendly as you make your debut here. Everyone's super super nice, and very warm and accepting... and perhaps I just took your post the wrong way... but like I stated in the thread made to welcome you, glad to have you here.
Take care man.

Hey Gopher I really love all your banners, the visual stylings are way cool.
I have this weird thing about the word "hype" though. How do I explain it...usually it has a connotation to me of cheesiness, and over-advertisement...say like...when the movie Snakes on a Plane came out? The talk all over the net about that was what I would think of as "hype".
Don't get me wrong...I am totally committed to "hyping" the P5 phenomenon but thought maybe calling it "hype" works to a disadvantage. Maybe other people don't read it that way though. Any comments?
I will still use one somewhere...they're too d**n cool not to. Could you perhaps make a sidebar sized one, like the ones at the top of this page? If you do that I can put it on choronzon.org and involution.org my two websites.

The last one shows Mike and Liz together and is a good sidebar sized picture...maybe I'll make some of my own using these...though I concur with Gopher that they should definitely be in character. I didn't read your post as a demand incidentally...though I can see where someone might. The net is weird like that. Way I saw it it was a compliment to Gopher's work, and you were just excited and getting right to the point. Nothing wrong with please and thank you...they can help sometimes...especially on the net where people can't see face or hear voice tone...but just to play devil's advocate I just thought I'd let you know this.

Mesila,
Your real beef over the word 'Hype' rests with me. It's the name I gave Phantasm5.com (Phantasm 5 Hype!) as I created the website to hype the project and give it some visibility.

I might be able to make a few banners and save them to my memory stick because in my Photography class, CS3 is programmed on the computers. But I have to first figure out how to use it. I took a picture of a fractal from the internet and played with it on CS3, it's really cool what you can do.

I can try, but it might take a while to learn to use CS3 since I can only be on the computers for less than 30 minutes a day in class.

Sorry I haven't replied, I've been out of town for the weekend.
Yeah, like Dustin said, I just used the word Hype because it's what the website was already named. It's about as simple as that.
Oh and I'd love to make a banner for you... just PM me the details (size, content, etc.) and I can whip one up in no time. I actually get enjoyment out of this sort of thing, so lay it on me.
And I suppose I thought it was a "demand" because of how he said "make a better one of Liz"... as if the one I had made sucked. Just the wording he used was off-putting I guess.
Spherical, I'd made a banner for you as well if you so wished. All ya gotta do is ask. Like I said, I enjoy making them.

I know that and calling it a beef is giving it too much meaning...I thought I'd comment on it since I wondered if I read something into the word that other people don't. I find that to often be the case...so don't think of it as a complaint.

Right on, will do...I want to put it on Choronzon.org's sidebar...God that site is SO in need of an update it has not been touched in a year. I have been despondent over this stupid breakup far too long, and I have no idea how to stop it, but I think maybe moving out of my ex's house might help. But Frisco is so expensive...and I dun wanna move somewhere out of it...so I have problems. It's hard to find ROOMMATES who can deal with my...peculiarities I can see where that could be communicated...since they obviously don't suck I guess it was just obvious to me. ;D Like I said the net's weird...I can imagine, say, if I had a bunch of bumper stickers and someone who maybe didn't talk often came up to me and said "Make me one that says this here... but in a different colour!" It'd be better if it was followed by "Please?" or "OK? That cool?" but sometimes people forget that stuff when writing posts cuz they're new to it or something. In RL if you smile when a thing is said it comes off as different, and tone colours it too, but a lotta people dun' like the little round smileys, so sometimes, get excited and just say what comes into their heads. I used to get peeved off about it too, a long time ago...before I caught on to the different textual habits of people. I first got online in 1994...jeepers...that's 13 years ago! ~/I'm sooo oooold, heellllp/~

Can you make one with the P4 Demon Trooper for me? Or of Reg getting "gooped" in P4? LOL Your tagline rocks! The production company sure knows what they're up to, they pulled that scene off beautifully. 'Twasn't till I heard the P4 interview that I heard about where the goop from Demon Trooper really came from ;-) I get the impression that all of the films were just so fun for you all to make...there's a real sense of brotherhood, and continuity, the sense that everyone on the set are pals...that most film sequels usually don't deliver.

Gopher, could you make a personalised banner for me, please?

Just pm (or email) me the details on what you want specifically and I'll put it on the to-do list! Those are cool I might snatch one and use it myself if no one cares. As I've stated many times in the past, the images I make are free for anyone to use for whatever purpose unless I otherwise state so.

Awesome I usually try to use the Banners for this place on other message boards I frequent to try and get us out there more and recruit for the Tall Man.
