I was browsing at my local Cd store and low and behold in the used section a MINT condition PHANTASM Soundtrack 24K GOLD Edition CD was just sitting there waiting for me to snag it up. My blood turned to icewater Could someone who also has this exact CD verify if theirs came with any sort of booklet with pictures? Mine only has a one page double sided insert with the cover as shown below with the SPHERE and the title PHANTASM and on the reverse side has the woman screaming with the words "IF THIS ONE DOESN'T SCARE YOU , YOUR ALREADY DEAD" I would have thought that something this rare would have included a really cool photo booklet. Maybe not though. Thanks , Mike

Great find! How much did you pick it up for? I can't really help verify the contents since I've never seen a copy of this in person before but I'm sure someone here can help you out. Congrats on your awesome acquisition.

This edition of the soundtrack was sold exclusively as part of the limited laserdisc collector's set back in the early 90s. This boxset came with autographs from Angus and Don, the laserdisc itself (loaded with extras) and goodness knows what else. I don't quite recall all what. This album was a part of it. As you can see, it has no bar code to be scanned and was never sold by itself. There were only like 2,500 of these produced, but don't quote me on that number. Extremely rare, in any case.
Pretty sure this version of the laserdisc sold out in the first week. It was pretty popular, prompting a basic, no-frills, soundtrack-less and autograph-less version to be released.

Awesome find.
I read that the last LaserDisc player was made in January or February this year. The last disc was made in 2001. I still remember seeing them in Circuit City back in the day.
