That fortune teller's granddaughter intrigues me. I'd like to see her return in P5!
Okay, we've seen her grandma, if I recall correctly, show up in P4 as Jebediah's mother (?) so this means she is related to the Tall Man...and yet never plays any evil role - if anything, the opposite. I was thinking, if Reg and Mike are fighting the Tall Man they're gonna need xenodimensional allies, and this witchy girl who is related to him but doesn't seem to have his evil tendencies...maybe she'd know a few...comments?

That would be a pretty cool concept. I always thought she had some idea what was going on maybe not as in depth as her grandmother.
I definately think she could help Mike and Reggie.

I like that idea too. P5 will need someone to team up with Reggie and the connection to the original would be cool.

That brings up a question I still have even after watching P1 a squillion times. About a third of the way through it you see this blonde chick walking through the mortuary, and she comes to the door which we later see leads to the spacegate, I THINK it's the same door, it appears small...and then there's a cut to an outside view of Morningside and we hear the girl scream. WTF happened here? Who was the girl? We only see her from behind and she has blonde hair. The only girl besides the Lady in Lavender we see in the film who's blonde is the fortune teller's daughter. (It was kind of hard to tell about Sally, she seemed to have light hair...but hard to tell if it was blonde.) So if it was the granddaughter who screamed, and she is related to the Tall Man, she does seem to have been kept from the family secrets, so to speak, and if Reg released a couple of girls who he'd never seen before it could easily have been that one was her. Yeah, I'd like to see her come back and perhaps bring some help to Reggie from the xenodimensional plane, because he's never going to have a chance against his foe if he doesn't get that sort of help, the way I see it.

I just see her as a nessesary victim in a horror movie. No kills, no thrills. Plain and easy. But after a second thought, it is interesting that she goes there immediately after she has spoken with Michael. And it would be great if she became a lurker instead of a dwarf. Since, I love that Tall-man turned himself into the Lady in lavendel, for some hacky-panky with town's younger guys, he he!! Maybe, Michael consider all women as a threat to his relationship with his older brother, afraid to get abandoned? And therefor sent that poor girl to her death (in his soul relationship to Tall-man, and all beeing his dream -- he being the dream-master), after her quest-forfillment in telling him his future? I don't know but Michael doesn't like women and cars if you'd ask me, conserning Phantasm I.

I don't know but Michael doesn't like women and cars if you'd ask me LOL he definitely seems to dig cars, but is a bit preoccupied to dally much with women...though in P2 he became fairly obsessed with Liz it was for reasons other than Reggie becomes obsessed with them. (AFAIK it even appeared that Michael and Liz were chaste with one another...but that's a thread for Perigord.)

I wish we would've seen more of her & that she would've been a bigger part of the film. Her character was pretty intriguing. Well, to me at least.

Oh, I see it that he wants to repair hes memory surrounding the fact that his parents died in a car crash. He helps out, fixing Jodys car by that reason - and dwarves show up, surround that trauma. Michaels bike gets broken by Tall-man and so on... ... lets say that he has a complax relationship to cars, and other motor vehicles . they are dangerous for %¤ sake!! Women, I see as the threat of his last famlíly member - but also the car itself - if it gets repaired his brother might leave town, you know. And women, try to pick up Jody, that is why Michael has... a complex relationship to them too... .. but what man doesn't have a complex relationship to women =) and the other way around.

Seriously, I'd never considered these factors, and now I see them and wonder how I could have missed them. Damnstraight cars are dangerous...I knew while taking driver training at age 17 I could NOT handle the entire concept. To think that several tons of metal objects moving at high speeds had to be under my constant control - I just could not handle it... This required multi-tasking of the brain that I just could not imagine myself doing. To this day I watch people drive cars and they do it like it's nothing at all, it amazes me, how people can even carry on conversations while trying to maneuver a motor vehicle and deal with all the surrounding motor vehicles at the SAME TIME?! It seems a lunatic process. (As it turns out my decision saved me not only what must have been my very life, but how much money, I cannot even imagine.)

He he, thanx, needed that!! Yes, I know, I am 28 old and dont have a driving licence yet, based on that very same feeling. I hate the idea that I would manouver a 1,5 ton metal down the street, relying on my hands and attention to alarm objects surrounding the vehicle. - - - And I DONT rely on other peoples skill, eather - - cars are hybris objects for male idiots, thinking they are the king of the road, all of the at the same time: alot of kings, huh!? And what a man i am!!! Yes, I think all answers are included in the original Phantasm, and if you study it close enough now answers would need to be revealed in later parts, they are only futher depts within hiss mental sickness. Hint # 1: See the picture for what it is named after: "Phantasm, Something seen but having no physical reality; a phantom or apparition" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PhantasmIt is all in Mikes mind, and people and 'phantoms' are creations to surround traumas, shaping as dwarves or lurkers to explain threats to him - they are all psychical processes in some way or another. The Morningside hosue - might be a symbol for his own inne mind of closed, dead feelings... The Lady in lavendel is one of Tall-mans manifestations (in the fact that Tall is Mikes take on Death-in-shape-as-a-man, the Grimm Reaper), and are also connected to Mikes psychical trauma. Women are a constant threat to the male freindship, that are needed fot Mike to come over his past and move on. In the end, it is all creations of a distrubed mind... within his inner maze, his hell of deamons. I wont push this futher, since it is off topik, but Mike also surrounds himself with Heroes, in need of protection: Reggie, the friendly sphere but also himself, his the alter-ego seen in part 2, the action-man. In part 2 Mike is not the sensitive Mike as seen in part 1, 3 and 4. In part 2 he also goes along with a woman, which is a rarity. "Its only a dream." But that is only my take on it. Modify half of it and toss the rest =) Take care.

I think the grandaughter would have some vital information to crack the case of the Tall Man, I believe she knows many secrets so that would be an awesome idea.

Well, she may have survived. Close to the end when Jody and Mike first find out Reg is still alive, (when they first get to the white room) Reg says, "I found Sally and Sue, and a couple of other girls I never even saw before." Maybe the Fortune Teller's granddaughter was one of those girls.

It's definitely possible. That's what is great about these movies is that we never know what is going to happen!

I always felt somewhere along the lines her character would have been really cool to reintroduce back into the fray.
Seems like being related to the Fortuneteller and possibly Jebodiah himself she might have some insight or hidden knowledge on some things.
