Is there any chance will be seeing Phantasm I and III on Blu-Ray in the future?

More than likely.
And I'll more than likely not buy them since I don't care much for Blu-Ray. Regularly ol' DVD format is fine by me. And I still love VHS.

Yes, I agree. Anchor Bay just got into the Blu-Ray market by releasing Halloween, Evil Dead II, Masters of Horror and a few other titles. I should pick up a Blu-Ray system just to watch one of Coscarelli's own (Incident On and Off) in high definition but its not worth it.
When they announce Phantasm in Blu-Ray, I'll pick up a player and some titles the very next day but until then.... of course, I'll still need a high-def television to enjoy the quality but oh well.

I know, it would be a blast (Phantasm I on blue ray) but now let's focuse on the Phantasm II DVD edition. I mean, that movie must be preserved at any cost!

Anchor Bay did preserve it. The Sphere set is superior to our region 1 release.

The P1 and P3 R1 DVD releases are FAR better than their R2 counterparts in terms of video quality, according to millions of reviewers. Their video quality is excellent and flawless.
I can't speak for P2. There is NO R1 counterpart, as everyone knows.

You do need to take part that its in Pal format not what our tv are meant to play (NTSC)...if you were to play a reagion 1 ntsc disc on a Pal tv, the picture would downgrade too...anyways I just bought the sphere because of the extras. So I really have no say in how the picture really looks....
