Anyone out there play this? I know a certain someone who has (I'm lookin' at you, Kristen!). I loved Portal 1, so naturally I've been anticipating the sequel for a while now. I got it the day it came out, and I couldn't be happier! I'm trying to take my time and enjoy the experience. I know several people who blasted through it in 1 or 2 sittings. I'd rather immerse myself in the world and make it last as long as possible.
Please please PLEASE no spoilers at all in this thread!

I am having such fun, Tony! I won't do spoilers. I'm deep into Chapter 6 now and absolutely loving the black humor of it--the funny things GlaDOS and Cave say. The safety signs with their ridiculous messages. Half the beauty of this game is its comedy. :-D Gonna be sad when I finish it. Like you, trying to savor it. I get such a rush when I solve the puzzles on my own. Just when I'm about to give up, I'll try something and bingo, solved! A lot of the challenges are things I would so love to be able to do physically in real life! Some of the test areas I don't leave the exit--I just keep bouncing around and around for the joy of it. lollol

I downloaded a demo of Portal 1 on my Xbox, and I'm sad to say that it really confused me. I got stuck at a part where I had absolutely no clue where to go or what to do. For some reason, the futuristic part of it confuses me. But from what I played, I really liked the concept of the game. But I'm more of an Elder Scrolls gamer.

I couldn't agree more, Kristen! The dark humor is definitely a signature element in this series. Don't forget about Wheatley though! He's incredibly amusing. I won't get into things too much, but I'm also deep into chapter 6... and wow. Just so great.

Beat this game a few days ago. Simply brilliant. Kristen, have you gotten to the end yet?

I'm very close. The whole place is coming apart and I've slipped into some side corridors. Feeling kind of fond of GlaDOS right now knowing her history and all. The levitation spiral (or whatever it's called) reminds me of "flying" in my dreams--it's so surreal and yet "familiar"!

I think you'll get a kick out of the ending. Don't worry, I won't spoil anything! Yeah I shared your fondness of GlaDOS, she really develops a lot in the latter half of the game.

I'm in the final (?) room with Wheatley hanging from ceiling. The big boss battle. I got there and put the controller down thinking, "Darn, it's almost over."

Yes, it is sad to see it end I know. But you're in for some additional laughs, believe me!
