Do you think there should be a book if phantasm 5 doesnt get made?
Im hoping phantasm 5 is made after the director is done with the project he is doing now. If not then I would like a book or something to give us a conclusion to the story. I watched all four on netflix and im pumped up for a number 5.

I would love to see an epic novelization personally. You can't say it wouldn't be bad*ss to read through the whole saga, completed, more than likely with many story details we didn't know of thrown in ;D

I wouldn't be against it, but I problem I have is that I've reeeeally slacked off on reading over the last few years. I guess a Phantasm 5 book would be a great reason to get back into it!

I always have my nose in one book or more! Right now I'm working on Buddhism for Beginners and an autobiography by the Dalai Lama. Also recently finished a Dean Koontz book (his stuff is easy to finish in one or two nights). I would love to see a "Phantasm" novel published (Don even asked me long ago if I wanted to write the novel for P2--but I was sooooo exhausted from working on the film--and we were still working on the film when he asked--that I just didn't have the time/energy for it). It would be cool to see someone's interpretation of what all is happening, the Tall Man's planet/dimension, etc. Books have a special magic allowing readers to get into the minds of the characters AND to really describe things in detail and with great richness. I haven't seen a movie yet that has ever trumped the storytelling of a book.

I actually would like for a book to be written. I love reading, so I wouldn't mind it. I'm like reading probably four or five different books right now, but I still have room for more. One can never read too many at once!
And the funny thing is, with all the fan fic going around, I started my own Phantasm story that takes place right after Oblivion. And I plan to write about my take on the Red Planet and other dimensions. I have about one page written, but I cannot come up with a story line.

I would love to see a book written on Phantasm! Maybe Don's take on what "finally" happens, explaining it all. Story lines can be a stickler to come up with, but if its any inspiration i once saw an interview with Lucas and he said when he proposed Indiana Jones to Spielberg, the only scene he had in mind was where Indy is being pulled behind the truck in 'Raiders', and 4 movies were spawned from that one scene! I keep a notebook and anytime i think of story, even if its just that 1 scene, i write it down. I have about 30 story ideas written down, some almost complete outlines, but some just 1 or 2 things.
