June 23, Michael Bay will be in Moscow and the premiere of Transformers-3. There are fans on the forum this franchise?

I really liked the 1st one Floyd. Eh, not so much on the 2nd, i just could not get into it. I hope the 3rd is as good as the 1st. I saw the previews in 3-D when i watched the new 'Pirates' a few weeks ago and it did look good.

I think the movies get a bum rap. They are good action movies, especially for CGI heavy pieces. I highly doubt I'll see the third in theaters just for the reason that I rarely go to the movies alone (and I don't know anyone else who is a fan of the films), but I have the feeling DOTM will turn out alright.

Though I'm not a Transformers fan, I'm a HUGE fan of NASA. So I will definitely be seeing this film.

Haha Floyd, good one! I really like John Malkovich. He was in a great movie years ago with Sally Field and Danny Glover called 'Places in the Heart'. Hey Floyd, you ever see the 90's Transformers animated series 'Beast Wars' that evolved into 'Beast Machines'? That's were part of my nickname comes from.

It's funny you mention him, he's in Edinburgh at the moment directing a play with Julian Sands at the Fringe Festival soon! I may be able to get tickets, but I think it may be a little popular!

Never got into these movies. Saw the first in theaters and I actually fell asleep at one point. And from what I've heard and read, the second one is almost universally disliked.

"Transformers: The Movie" was the "Watership Down", or "Plague Dogs", or "Old Yeller" of my generation. It was a kids movie that forced many of us to actually confront the concept of death--namely when Optimus Prime bought the farm. I'll tell you guys one thing--there wasn't a dry eye in the house when Prime died!
