I honestly cannot remember where I saved this Phantasm III poster from. Somewhere online, likely from a Google search. But the reason I saved it was because there's something really jacked up about it. Can any of you spot what's wrong with this poster?

Is it Paul Pepperman? He seems to be the co-producer in Phantasn, but not P3?

I thought maybe Pepperman also, but honestly it was a total stab in the dark. Seagrave was way above my head, i mean i know who he is in the Phantasm world, but i would never know enough production values to guess his name. I am honestly drawing a blank on this. Both seem good guesses to me. Hey, Postmortem and Hearseman, this is right up your guys alley. Either one of you know this one? I am now hooked on someone getting this. LOL.

I'll take a stab at it. The entire credits info is lifted from a P1 poster. AVCO Embassy didn't even exist anymore, to my knowledge, by the time P3 came out.

Exactly! Universal was the distributor for III. Infact, it seems the credits on the poster is taking directly from the first Phantasm poster.

Plenty of things are wrong, unfortunately I know all of them because I made the mistake of buying one of these. I have since bought the original, which are rare to find in mint condition.
-All the cast/crew info is from the first Phantasm, used because technically all cast members listed are in P3 but not all crew members.
-The sphere graphic is completely different. On the original, the sphere appears to be a painted element, very smooth and perfect. Whereas this one looks practical, reflection of the drill and all.
-The perspective of the entire image is a bit further out compared to the original where the edge of the image cuts off the tombstone on the right.
This poster is a cheap reprint. Up close you can see what looks like interpolation of the pixels as it was probably force-stretched for poster size. The original was a video store poster advertising its release to VHS and Laserdisc. A much better quality choice for phans. I found mine on a obscure website that collected old video store posters. It had been expertly preserved in a tube since 1994. It's funny, at the very bottom it says: NOT FOR SALE. Guess no one at MCA Universal would care today eh?

I'm glad I saw this thread before I bought one of these bad boys.
