Have you guys heard about PRIMITIVE starring Reggie Bannister? We've been working really hard to get it out. He was a dream to work with and he did a great job on it. Check it out if you like: www.PrimitiveTheMovie.netWe're also circulating a petition to get it on Chiller TV. I've been telling them for years to get the old favorites like Reggie on the air, but it seems like they're going the other way. Check out the petition here and sign if it makes sense to you. www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/primitive

I will definitely be seeing this...Reggie is always good in everything i have seen him in. Ironically, the day i met Regg in '08, some dumbassess near my house made the national new for "killing" a Sasquatch (Rabun Co., Georgia if anyone cares). Of course it turned out to be bogus, but i found myself imagining Regg in a story alongside Sid Haig about a Bigfoot...too funny that this is similar. The area i was near is quite infamous for Bigfoot sightings, it has recently been on National Geographic to catch a bigfoot or whatever the hell it's called, LOL. Anyway, very cool, thanks for posting and i can't wait to catch this! -Prymal

I've also seen he's been doing Dr. Spine and The Ghastly Love of Johnny X as well. Let's hope we get to see these too!
Thunderhead, are you involved in the movie? If so, in what capacity? Would love to hear more about it. I see from the trailer it's from Thunderhead entertainment. Welcome to the Boards

Yeah, I'm the producer/director of Primitive and lifelong Phan. Primitive is my biggest movie so far. I budgeted for a name star, and was very fortunate to get Reggie on board. Since our budget was low and Reggie lives all the way out in Crestline, we spoke on the phone about the project. He studied the script and offered a lot of great ideas. He took it every bit as seriously as one of his studio pictures, and really delivered. A real pro and class act. Anyways, I'd be happy to answer any questions about the show.

Thunderhead, that is too awesome! My hat's off to you for doing something you love, man!I have tons of questions, but here is just a few: Will Primitive make it out here on the east coast in some form of release? Working with Regg, man that just seems as cool as it sounds. I drove 8 hours to meet him, he is by far my fav actor ever! I really admire him off screen as well as on, he has a great code of ethics on how he deals with life. Do you let a seasoned actor make changes in his/her character or situation? What capacity does a producer serve? I have more questions, but i will back off for now... -Prymal

Prymal, I'm trying to get the show on any big screen I can, but mostly close to home on the West coast to keep costs down. I just submitted to Tromadance on the East coast, but have no idea if we're getting in. Primitive may not be outrageous enough. If we do I'll let you know. Aside from that, we're shopping it for cable and DVD.
Reggie was cool on set, but I was so busy we didn't have a lot of time to sit down and shoot the breeze until our world premiere event two years later, lol. It was a lot of fun just hanging out. He's full of stories, too.
I let the actors contribute ideas and line changes all the time. Mostly we decide on changes before we start shooting so there are few surprises and delays on set. My job as director is to keep the big picture in mind, so if a small change has negative impact on the overall story, then I might nix it. Otherwise I'm open to ideas from all the actors.
As producer, I chose to buy the script, developed it into a form I felt was best, hired everyone necessary to guide it to completion. In this case, I was also executive producer so I put the financing together. I was also line producer, so I hired almost every single cast and crew, except for a couple of folks that the department heads brought on board, and I put together the schedule, budget, reserved equipment, arranged for locations, etc. You wear a lot of hats on low budgets.

Liked the trailer and music.
I got a "Twin Peaks" vibe from it.
