All of the all Man's minions in whatever format seem to be full of this stull (be it embalming fluid of some weird kind). Reggie seems to always get covered in this stuff one way or another. Whilst a bit of light comedic relief, isn't he at all worried about blood transmitted diseases? God knows what a dwarf could be carrying.
But seriously, could this stuff actually have long term effects we've not seen yet? Reggie, unwittingly infected, travels back in time and spreads a new kind of disease that wipes out mankind (like the plague that Jody shows Mike). Reggie dies of the disease in the past, having been infected by future Reggie and dies and is therefore unable to travel into the future to contract the disease in the first place.
The whole thing becomes a massive paradox! But is it possible? Arg, my brain hurts.

I mentioned this P4.5 : Ice Cream Chronicles, but i keep wondering if the "Yellow Blood" is maybe ectoplasm, or at least related to this? It seems a bit thick at times, and the old pics of spiritualist spewing this stuff is kinda creepy...

The yellow fluid varied in density throughout P4 as I recall. Especially in the scene where I shove the ball into Jody's neck, it was made VERY watery so it would shoot out the ball more easily.

Makes you wonder how Coscarelli came up with yellow blood...i googled yellow blood and something very interesting came up; Some insects contain yellow blood that helps them deal with the cold. Dealing with the cold...that sounds familiar, eh?

You're on to something there. Alien insects definitely play a role in the series, no? I always considered the yellow stuff to be actual alien blood, not true embalming fluid...

I remember from "The Portal" story Postmortem that Jebediah was having problems with a plant freezing during a dimensional entry, and we all see how The Tall Man reacts to the cold...as well as the fact that Jebediah was a scientist. Maybe he injected himself with insect blood to help with the dimensional shifts as he slipped between the nether regions of time and space...?

Gross but cool--and feasible--idea! Or maybe it was like the "Fly" and an insect went through the portal at same time? lollol Just playing along.

Ah, the fly! One of the first horror books i picked up as a kid in elementary school at the school library, it even had the black and white photos from the movie! This is possible...hhmmm...maybe the Red Planet was overrun with "alien insects" and that's what possessed goodly Jebediah when he arrived and in turn, made him susceptible to the cold:hence the yellow blood! Course, the metal sphere in the noggin is harder to explain...
