Too sick to make it. Advised by his doctors not to travel. More info on Days of the Dead FB page.

It was sad that he canceled. But I went to the con anyway. During Don's panel, they got Angus on the phone and still held a Q&A session with him. And at the end, we all recorded a "get well soon" message for him. I wish I could have met him in person though.

So tell us,Natalie..What b.s. was Don spinning about Phantasm 5? " he`d have to look in on it" or "As soon as Angus was better,he`d have to get back to work on it"?

Yeah, that's pretty much what he said. He asked us if we want to see a Phantasm 5, and when everyone reacted, he's all like "well, I better get writing when I get back". I betting he's just all talk. He said pretty much the same thing when I saw him at the JDATE premiere in Chicago.
In my honest opinion, yeah I would like to see a 5th, but if it doesn't happen, then so be it. I'm not really bothered if it doesn't happen.

Don pretty much said the same thing last year, when I talked to him at the Phantasm reunion in Chattanooga. Everything except the part about waiting until Angus was better,as Angus was in good health at the time.I encourage everybody to see Angus, whenever he is at a convention. Spending time talking to him is a memorable experience. At the convention,Reg told me that Don has shot footage whenever he had the time and could get everybody together. So what`s to become of this P-5 footage? Will it ever see the light of day?

I too hope for a speedy recovery for Angus.
I would like to see Phantasm 5 - if it happens, it happens, if not, then that's fine.

I live near Chicago and was planning to go. My daughter (15) and her friend had snuck the Phantasm disc out and watched it on one overnight stay and became huge fans of Reggie & Angus. They were so excited, it was no fun telling them when I found out he had canceled. Thank goodness they are coming to Flashback weekend, which is about a 25 minute drive for me. I hope he stays healthy. I've met him, but I need to get a picture of my daughter and the Tall Man!
