So here's a pretty great piece of news. The extremely rare Angus Scrimm vs Bruce Campbell gore-gem MINDWARP is skipping DVD and heading straight to Bluray this October in a super limited edition release. I posted the following on the Archives just now: phantasmarchives.blogspot.com/2013/09/angus-scrimms-mindwarp-hitting-bluray.html
Angus Scrimm fans beware! The B-movie cult gem known as Mindwarp is skipping DVD and heading straight to Bluray this October from Twilight Time. If you haven't seen Mindwarp, all you need to know is it was made by Fangoria in the early 1990s and pitted Bruce Campbell against Angus Scrimm. Simply put, it is a wonderfully gory good time. The Twilight Time Bluray release is limited to 3,000 units and given how rare this film has been, goodness knows when it will surface again. Pre-order it here. Be warned, however. Twilight Time doesn't kid around when they say they're limiting their release of a title. When Mindwarp is sold out, it will truly be sold out and undoubtedly be expensive on the second hand market.
A very kind and special thanks to Mindwarp director Steve Barnett for the head's up. [/color]

That's a great movie! I had a VHS copy of it, but will upgrade the sucker I think.

Just found out yesterday that this weekend, a restored Director's Cut print of the film was screening at midnight in Chicago. Those lucky folks. Jealous.

Unfortunately I was unaware of that, otherwise I would have been there. Darn it!

Super excited to have gotten my copy of this. Seeing it in widescreen and in high definition is like seeing an all new movie considering the old, fullscreen VHS copy we've had for so many years. If you've never seen it, Bruce Campebell and our favorite Tall Man actor are really good in it. Was really lucky to get Angus and the director's signatures on it. My small Mindwarp collection has several items in it, but none of them signed before this.

I think I'm going to pick one up soon. From what I have heard they are not selling as well as other Twilight Time editions (about 1/3 have sold thus far); I had initially considered buying 3 or 4 for the resale value but the slow sales have cancelled that idea.

Very cool. I need to get one soon too. Have a DVD version but no extras. Can you tell us what Angus wrote? I can't seem to make out some of the words. "To Dustin, my valued friend and chronicler."

I got my copy a while back. I kind of don't want to open it though, haha.
