Hey Guys, This really interested me and thought some of you might be too. In case you've never heard of him, Penn Jillette is one half of a magic duo, who have been going for years and have quite an alternative show in Las Vegas. Well, Penn has many things on the go and his latest venture is that he wants to make a horror movie, with him as the psychopath. The reason why I meantion it, is that it will be crowdfunded, meaning that for a donation, you get a little slice of the movie. There are different rewards for different levels of donation; $25 will get you a t-shirt and DVD say and $5,000 can get you a bit part (as a corpse). I chucked my donation in as a present for my Mrs. and thought it was a cool idea. ANyway, here's the site for more info fundanything.com/penn?locale=en

I love these crowdfunded projects - such a cool new way to get things off the ground. And who doesn't love Pen & Teller?
I'll throw in a bit of Phantasm trivia for this thread. Anybody remember Pen & Teller's Bullsh!t show from a while back? They did a great episode on Alien Abductions, which featured an interview with Bill Cone, better known to phans as Tommy from the original Phantasm!!

Ha ha, no way is Tommy in it! I'll have to flick through that show again to have a look. P&T:BS was a great show, wish they'd do more!

Yeah, I'd be careful when it comes to that site. I made a little donation, and today I found out that I am a victim of credit card fraud. That site is the only recent online purchase I made. And I'm thinking someone may have gotten my card number through that. So yeah, I'd be careful.

My Mrs had that with Google's pay system, fortunately her bank was on the case. You've got to be careful most places nowadays. I made a contribution through paypal, so it was as secure as I could make it, plus I keep zero funds in there til I need it. Thanks for the warning though!
