Talked to Angus Scrimm today, he said he will read me the book over the phone. Epic score. Now that would be the ultimate audio book.

Talked to Angus Scrimm today, he said he will read me the book over the phone. Epic score. Ha! I actually read part of the book to him over the phone yesterday. I think an audio book would be fantastic. I would actually like to see (or hear) him do an audio book. Have you heard him sing "Prairie Dogs"? I think he has quite a soothing voice in a way. Oh Prairie Dogs is great! Have you heard his audio drama episode of Tales From Beyond the Pale called The Grandfather? Can't remember if we discussed this years back or not. He's fantastic in it. Dustin, is your book available anywhere else online? Through Barnes and Noble, perhaps? I am very anti-Amazon at the moment.

Dustin, is your book available anywhere else online? Through Barnes and Noble, perhaps? I am very anti-Amazon at the moment. Out of curiosity, why are you anti-Amazon? Several reasons, really. From a consumer standpoint I'm annoyed they hiked their shipping costs to $4 per used media item, and their free shipping threshold to $35. Buying used from them used to be a novelty until the shipping went up - then the days of buying a CD for a penny and only shelling out $2 to ship it were over. Now paying $4.01 for a penny CD really takes away from the appeal of shopping with them. I know it sounds incredibly trite, but, to me it makes a difference. Same goes for switching from $25 to $35 for the free shipping. If there was one item you wanted from Amazon, chances are you could find something else to buy and reach $25. But $35? Ridiculous. And they blame this on fuel costs associated with the USPS/FedEx, etc, but really it's just a way for them to shove Amazon Prime down everyone's throats (which also saw a price increase to $100 this year). From a business practice standpoint, you might have heard that someone is organizing a class-action lawsuit against Amazon for items sold by third-party sellers but are fulfilled by Amazon. These sellers have allegedly been encouraged by Amazon to up the asking price for their used item to recoup the loss of money toward shipping, since the item is eligible for super-saver shipping. Meaning, you could have a dozen third-party sellers selling a Phantasm 3 DVD for $2-3 + the cost of shipping, but then the Amazon fulfilled third-party sellers would be selling it for $6-7, citing "free shipping!" even though the cost of the shipping has been rolled into the price of the item. From a selling standpoint, the fees and % they take from every sale is RIDICULOUS. It got to be so bad I had to stop selling - I actually switched back to ebay, who I consider to be the lesser of two evils. For instance, if you sell an item on Amazon for $100, $17 of that goes right to them. $17! Are they nuts? Lastly, from a customer service standpoint, they simply suck. If you've ever had a legitimate problem with an order, they're not problem solvers. They throw credit at you until it shuts you up. The only "good" thing about Amazon (and it's really not good, technically) is if you bully them enough, they'll give you credit hand over fist until you stop yelling at them. Seriously, try it sometime.

The book has arrived faster than expected. With next day delivery, amazon uk delivered yesterday. Great service. I've been devouring the book and it is a great read. I've submitted a 5 star review on Amazon.uk. Thanks again Dustin for a great book. As my review states, my only complaint is that I wish it was even longer!

Got a late night surprise call from the Tall Man last night who says that he's enjoying the book very much. That approval combined with all of your own means an awful lot. Really appreciate all of the nice feedback.
TEOS, it should be available on a number of other websites, but I don't know when that will be. I'm just kind of waiting and seeing right now which retailers start to carry it.
Cudacharger, awesome! Hope you enjoy it, mate!
Playgames1970, laughed so hard at your Jerk picture that I had to show my girlfriend. Thanks for the chuckle! Hope your eyes aren't burned out after all those essays.
Spookyencounters, that IS a great surprise. Enjoy!
MisterE, hope the move is swift and easy. Moving can be such a chore.
Russ, thanks much! Wow, half the book already???
SwampMonster, thank you very kindly for that glowing review. Really appreciate it immensely!!

Just got mine today. All I can say is WOW! From the cover, the size of the book and a ton of behind the scenes pix. Absolutely amazing. Man, it seems like only yesterday when I first watched Phantasm on VHS back in 1980's. My friends and I would watch the film and quote the lines of the Tall man. We all thought it was the most bizarre film we had ever seen. And Then going to see Phantasm II in theaters on opening day. We were all so excited to see out Hero on the big screen. Then, one day back in 1998, i was browsing at the local video/music store and accidentally ran across Phantasm IV Oblivion on VHS. My eyes lit us, my heart actually skipped a beat when I saw it.Can it be? Another film? How did i NOT know it was out? What will it be like? I grabbed it and ran home to watch. Another awesome chapter in the Phantasm saga. Fast forward, or rewind back to about a month ago. I'm at work, when one of my fellow associated came up to me and said, Hey take a look at this on the computer. I walked up and here was this poster and supposed trailer for a film called Phantasm Ravager. I thought at first " Just another fan made trailer". Then I clicked over to Phantasm.com and when i saw the site had Ravager right on the main page, I knew this was a reality. After 16 years (and thinking that I would never see my favorite horror icons in a new film again. One of my friends standing next to me said "Dan, you have goose bumps...why?".Did he have to ask why? This is turning out to be the best year for Phans..ever! The book, the new film. I just knew Don Coscarelli would never let his fans down.I was listening to a Rue Morgue podcast about a year ago. The host of the show was interviewing Don Coascarelli. He, of course, asked about a 5th Phantasm film. And after Don gave him the standard "Nothing in the works right now" line, the host begged with Don to at least get Angus Scrimm into a studio and film him against a green screen?! I think that was the fans biggest fear, That Angus would pass on without ever making a 5th film. Little did we know What was happening. Thank you Dustin for keeping the Phantasm dream, er, nightmare alive! Wait, what the heck am i doing writing this, I have a book to read... (Wooosh sound as I enter the spacegate)

Hey Dustin. Yeah moving is friggin exhausting. Finally done though and got a chance to read about half of the book. Very well done. You did a great job! Can't wait until the limited version is available. I wouldn't mind reading another book if you decide to write another one.

I'd love to write another book, even on horror movies, but haven't committed to anything yet. Got it yesterday, and started reading it last night while on my breaks at work. Awesome job, Dustin! Really loving it right now! Thanks, Nat! Hope it has a few things you didn't already know!
