Hello all, new member here. I was so excited about the news on Phantasm 5 finally being a reality after all these years, as many of you, I just completed my first Phantasmathon in years and did a lot of reading online about it, and found you all and decided to sign up.
I'm 25, and probably first saw Phantasm with my dad when I was around 8 or so. Always loved watching horror movies with him and he didn't care that I was young and impressionable boy! LOL, but I like to think I turned out OK. Since then, we watched the others and I recall renting Oblivion not long after it came out from the video store (that was a thing back then, how about that!). Over the years I've seen them all again many times and they are a very special series to me and also a fond memory of my Dad, who is also quite excited of the news of Ravager.
Talk to you all on the boards!

Welcome, I 1st saw Phantasm at my grandparents house when I was around the same age. They had some type of player it wasnt a VCR or laserdisc they movie was in a huge piece of plastic and you had to flip it over half way through the movie.

Welcome! I'm somewhat new as well. Just signed up, but I have been lurking here for a while since my friend told me about it.
Phantasmaniac - I think what they had was a betamax player. That's what was in competition with vhs and we all know who the winner was with that.
I'm 31 now, but my first time watching Phantasm was around 5. My aunt who used to babysit me found out that if she turned on a horror movie, I'd stay quiet and watch lol. So it made her job a lot easier. Then I watched the others as they came out and have to say it's one of the more unique horror films I have seen, which is why I enjoy them so much.

Thought it was just beta and vhs. Must look into this now.

First saw the original on VHS and loved it, but it was really cool on the laser disc my cousin had. Now with everything on DVD and 2 on blu ray (hopefully the others soons too) it is great for the newer generations to be able to see these awesome Philms.
