Ok at the end of the movie we see the Tall Man come out of the spacegate and go directly after Reggie. I can't for the life of me remember if Reggie reloaded the quad or if the Tall man somehow stopped it from firing and if so how did he accomplish this?
Also why did he go after Reggie right off the bat.

He went after Reggie first to stop him from reloading and screwing with him when he's trying to go after Mike. I don't remember what happened, maybe both shotguns jammed at once? Still, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the tall man's doing.

Reggie does reload in time, but when he pulls the trigger it doesn't fire and Tally smacks him one. As to how he does it....how does the Tall Man acheive anything he does???

I just think it's wierd the Tall Man can stop all 4 barrel's from firing somehow.

Actually...I wouldn't put too much beyond the realm of the Tall Man.

Actually he could, he stabbed him easily in P1, and had him pinned by spheres in P4, which leads to another interesting question: Why?

He says when he has him pinned that 'his time is soon, but not yet'. it kinda inplies that he wants to finish him off in P5 or use him as a tool to get to mike (which he does in P4).

I think its def linked to Mike somehow. Remember, the Tall man says "The final game now begins...''

I'm still trying wondering why the Tall Man lets Reggie live through all of this. :?

I don't get it either. The only extraordinary thing Reg did was shorting out the dimension posts in Phantasm I & 4 and supplying Mike with the tuning fork in 4, but does the Tall Man know Reggie is responsible for these actions? Reg is the most devoted of friends to Mike, and at this point the only human friend, you would think the Tall man would have killed Reg just to deny his help to Mike.

^ true but i sorta look at the Tall Man like a puppet master pulling the strings in a big cosmic sick joke.

I'm pretty sure that Reg reloaded but the Tall Man prevented the gun from firing. I love how Tally just walks right up to him & presses his chest against Quaddy with that evil smirk on his face. So intimidating & confidant. Only Angus could pull that off with such perfection.

Ditto! Tally effin' knew he had nothing to loose by confronting Reggie in such a way. That's what is so scary about him... you can kill him all you want. He'll just be coming back through the space-gate in another moment or two. I think the scariest moment of all would be after you've killed the Tall Man, waiting for him to show up again. He'd never just casually walk into frame.... he'd have to get the jump on you - surprise you and scare the turd out of everyone around.

Right at the end when the tall man goes toward the deminsion gate, he turns and looks at mike. The look on his face shows some concern not a look of hate. I see some sort of regret and a look that a father looks at a son when the experience farewell. I think the tall man really likes mike.

A mere shotgun is no match for The Tall Man. Hell, they even jabbed a trocar down his spine and pumped him full of Hydrochloric Acid. And like the bad 'mutha he is, he simply walked up and chucked the leftovers and went back to business.

I'm kind of thinking that in all that evilness, there was probably a tiny bit of appreciation for Mike. Like he might be thinking, "Checkmate. A game well played, but you lose and now to move on."
