So I was just sittin' here at midnight....
And I got to thinking about when we might next hear a major RaVager announcement. And having just finished Exhumed for the second time, I noticed that major announcements tend to come at Phantasm reunions. So I looked up Reggie's website, and took a look at his listed appearances for the year. There are four listed:
Wondercon in Anaheim in April: www.comic-con.org/wca
Frightmare Weekend in Dallas in May: www.texasfrightmareweekend.com/guests/
SDCC in July: www.comic-con.org/cci
Scarefest in Louisville in September: scarefestcon.com
So I took a closer look.
Wondercon is a smaller spinoff of SDCC, and Reggie and Gigi will be there. I'd go if I were close, but I don't expect any secrets to be revealed.
SanDiego Comic Con is listed on Reggie's website, but I don't see much information about him on the SDCC site. This is a huge convention, and one where new and upcoming films are frequently promoted. If he is there, then I would expect some serious RaVager promotion to be there as well.
Scarefest will again feature Reggie and Gigi, but this time with A Michael Baldwin and Bill Thornbury. It is a mid-sized horror convention, and I might have to make the drive from Atlanta to be there. But it won't be the biggest Phantasm reunion this year. That honor appears to go to...
Frightmare Weekend will feature everyone already mentioned, plus Bob Ivy, Angus Scrimm, Kathy Lester, and Don Coscarelli, all appearing to "celebrate their new film, RaVager". There will even be a Phantasm Ball with performances by Reggie and Thornbury, and a chance to be served ice cream by Reggie just like... well, buy Exhumed and find out. Anyway, if there is going to be any huge RaVager promotion this year, it will be at this convention. With Spirit airlines getting me to DFW and back for $100, I think I might have to be there too.
Anybody else have any insight or hot tips?
