Based on our past experiences, I think most of us could benefit from one another by avoiding certain decisions/actions. This is a place where we can share our vast knowledge based on poor judgment in the past!
Here, I'll start.
Whatever you do, never stick your hand in mysterious holes in the back of industrial sized freezers. Especially when laying on a freshly mopped floor.

Here's my lesson: Don't be an a*shole. I learn this one over again every single day almost. I'm always getting in trouble with it.

a simple one. think before you speak.
because at times if one says the first thing off the top of their head without giving it some thought. or in the heat of the moment one can really mess up and say things they will regret later.
