This was announced in 2005. A little late to the game, mirai? I doubt I'll catch this. The prequel trilogy was a huge decrescendo in terms of quality and at the bottom of that decrescendo was a steaming pile known as Revenge of the Sith.

I'll probably watch it. I think I'm one of few people that like the prequels & not ashamed to admit it. Are they better than Episodes IV-VI? Hell no.

I'm a former Star Wars junkie. That has since dwindled but I still love the series.
Maybe this will spark a return to my Star Wars junkiness. Perhaps it'll encourage me to read the buttload of Star Wars novels I bought when I was 16/17 that I haven't read yet.

Why the hate for Revenge of the Sith? It was far far FAR better than episodes I and II. They don't touch the original trilogy, but come on... what could?

I've never really gotten into the Star Wars thing...Nor the Star Trek or any of those types of movies/shows.

You're right, it was better than I and II, but the main reason I think it is hated (and the reason I think it's a bit of a let down) was put succinctly in a local paper of mine. "Christensen could have easily been out-acted by his Lego counterpart". That pretty much summed it up for me. Just at the end when he gets propped up in his Darth outfit and screams NOOOO! really badly. That bad piece of acting is second only to a Julia performance.
