Actually, I noticed the title said, "Aliens vs. Predator". Sorry to be nit-picky.
I am looking forward to seeing this film. I hope it's better than the first. I didn't like the storyline in the first. The whole thing with the "war between the aliens and the predators" really changed the meaning of each of the franchises.
And that goes with the Freddy vs. Jason as well. I'm not really too fond of the "what vs. what" movies.

If so, I will not see it. All the "Vs." movies comes up with the lamest storylines to make the two fighters come together in the film. I repeat myself, they change the meanings of the individual movies.
Though it wasn't a "Vs." film, "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" really changed the meanings of the whole NOES films, as if all of them were "movies", if you know what I'm trying to say.

I think it looks like crap so I probably won't be seeing it. I'm sure it'll be miles better than the first one but I doubt it'll hold a candle to the movies from both series that came before it...even Alien Resurrection.

I think Requiem looks just good enough to warrant my seeing it. Maybe not in theaters, but maybe so. I was distraught after I saw AvP, stunned that someone could take two of the most SOLID franchises in history and meld them together into one really awful VS film.
The bar was set pretty low for Requiem to overcome the first film. I can hope, at least.

I'll see this. I like science fiction elements on our plane.
As far as AvP, I saw it after a very LONG spell of not going to theatres. It was mindless eye candy that I was more then willing to digest. In hindsight it's not that great, but still somewhat fun. The worst part for me was when the main character had to "keep it real" with some of her slang...just stupid....

I've seen some things in magazines about it and looks more like the old Alien franchise rather than the last flop. Really disappointing after being a fan of the computer games for a long time. As for the Vs. thing, it's an old rehash of the horror films of the 50's and 60's like Werewolf Vs the Mummy etc. I did like freddy vs jason, purely on the premise that I was not taking seriously at all and as a consequence, it currently sits amongst my other comedy dvd's.

and it's not getting a Pg-13 rating it's getting an R rating instead, they canned Alien 5 to do the first AvP movie

I think if the first movie would've gotten an R rating, it would've sucked less. Granted, it would still suck, just to a lesser extent.
I don't have high expectations for the sequel. It'll probably be another CGI-ridden turdfest.

The trailer for this one makes it look way better than the first AvP already... but I'll reserve my excitement for the time being.

The first 5 minutes of the film are also now available online. Just thought I'd give the heads up.

That's like telling your doctor that you don't need him to perform your surgery as you are going to have it done by the retarded kid Timmy down the street.

What the hell were they on? In any case, I have to admit that I am a huge Predator fan and not so much a fan of the Alien series. But it definitely would have been amazing to get Scott and Cameron together for Alien 5.

Big mistake on Fox's part because AvP 2 will more than likely suck. Alien & Aliens are two of my favourites.

Both Scott and Cameron have now said in interviews they are no longer interested in another Alien as AVP was basically a joke and the series can no longer be taken seriously.
Thanks FOX!!!
