If that's true, that is very devastating. I cannot see anyone else playing Frank 'N' Furter other than Tim Curry. I don't know why they would even think about remaking this film.

I wouldn't let this news bother you. Manson has been associated with a remake of Rocky Horror for years and I mean YEARS now. The remake has never gotten off the ground.
Have you ever seen the Rocky Horror sequel, SHOCK TREATMENT, by the way? I loves me some Rocky Horror almost as much as Phantasm but SHOCK TREATMENT is one of the most under-loved films in the history of motion pictures. I almost like it better than Rocky and on some days, I do like it better.

I've never seen Rocky Horror & I don't plan on it.
Remakes are happening so much nowadays that I just tune them out.
Besides, Gary Busey would be waaaaay better than Marilyn Manson.

I can't really see it happening. i can't picture it either. I did see Jason Donovan (aussie pop star and soap actor turned coke addict) as frank n furter on stage and he was very good. He is also quite gay as well, so did camp it up brilliantly. An equal to Curry I would say. Curry is great in Clue and Legend as well.

I thought Tim Curry was brilliant in National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1.

I remember hearing that Frank N' Furter's accent was based on a posh woman they were stood behind in a supermarket queue when he and o'brien were young and on the dole (social security) and they thought it was hilarious. He is currently King Arthur in Spamalot, the stage musical of Python's Search for the Holy Grail

Never was a big Rocky Horror fan myself... but I don't have anything against the fans. My older sister is a big fan, actually... and I remember her going to those late-night screenings dressed up. It confused me as a child.
