A local video store down by my apartment is closing and thus selling their entire stock for ridiculous prices.
Satanic (Angus Scrimm and rey Combs. It's crap. But it's two icons of horror.) The Mangler Reborn (Reggie Bannister flick with Gigi on effects) Cemetary Gates (Reggie flick with Gigi) Gangs of the Dead (Reggie flick with Gigi on effects) Night of the Hunter (CLASSIC flick with Robert Mitchum) Invaders from Mars (the old MGM Midnight Movies release, I love this series of titles)

I already have "The Official Bootleg" of Army of Darkness with the director's cut. I wanted to get the Anchor Bay version from '99 because it's pretty cheap in price & so I could have both versions instead of getting The Boomstick Edition or other expensive versions.
Prom Night 2 is something I need to get soon. I have the crappy Platinum version of the first one with the terrible cover. I used to have the PN 3/PN 4 Double Feature but I got rid of it because I was told that PN 3 was the TV cut. I believe it was you that told me, actually. I may get it again for PN 4 if I can find it cheap.

A local VIDEO store was clearing out some old horror titles for Halloween. Snagged two classics. Maybe you folks have heard of these? They're both in pristine condition which makes it all the much cooler a find.

I think I've seen both of those before. I remember them being pretty good. In fact, I think I used to own the one on the right & that the one on the left is in my VHS collection somewhere.
Cool finds. I may get a copy of Phantasm III on VHS again just to have it.

Best Buy Exlucisve, Midnight Movies Boxset "Monsters and Creatures" (9 flicks) Vincent Price MGM Scream Legends Collection (FINALLY!)
Today was the last day for a local video store closing down so I picked up the following titles at $ .75 each. I made a killing.
Volver (Spanish flick from last year, marvelous) Antitrust (Decent tech thriller with Tim Robbins and Rachel Leigh 'Smokin Hot' Cook) Pick of Destiny (That Tenacious D movie, haven't seen it.) Stander (Some Thomas Jane gun picture. Could be fun) The Producers (LOVE musicals and love Nathan Lane even more. This is a modern classic.) The Big Empty (In the ambiguous WTF spirit of Phantasm, this is a movie to hurt your brain. Love it.) The Cooler (William H Macy and Alec Baldwin. Decent Vegas picture.) Hollywoodland (The Superman Suicide movie. Haven't seen it. Looks good.) L.A. Story (Steve Martin flick. Haven't seen it.) Curse of the Jade Scorpion (Woody Allen and Dan Aykroyd. Looks fun.) Scarecrow Slayer (Tony Todd in Scarecrow #2. Looks horrid. Might be fun with booze.) Scarecrow Gone Wild (Couldn't buy #2 without buying #3. Looks painful.) Swimming with Sharks (Love this old Kevin Spacey vehicle. He plays crazy well.)

earlier today i ordered online The Devils Rejects & Land Of The Dead. with shipping it came to $22.21, not bad. for those who order stuff online keep this site in mind as they sell much more than games these days and sometimes have the better price. plus much more shipping options to choose from. www.gogamer.com/index.htmsince their pre order price for the pc game Empire Earth 3 was 5 bucks less than other sites i splurged and upgraded my shipping to 2nd day Fedex.

Evil Dead II
Roger Ebert's "3 star" rating is part of the cover art. I'm just thinking about the way he reacted to Phantasm 2. Wasn't he complaining about the senseless gore???!!
